Today was the day the two division were meeting face to face
You and Narumi stood ahead of the first division base, surveying the third division approaching
"HOSHINA WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO STEP ON MY TURF ?!" The male captain yelled at the bowl cut boy who now stood infront of him
The third division vice captain continued to press on Narumi buttons leading him to currently lay on the ground in defeat
"Y/n this is why we don't like the third division." Narumi mumbled with his eyes shut, before glancing up, now taking notice that you weren't by him anymore
"Y/n ?" Narumi sat up as his eyes scanned the area for you, only for his eyes to immediately land on the entire third division happily chatting with you in the distance
"Y/n ?" Hoshina questioned, following Narumi gaze
"Y/N !!!" Narumi shouted as he got on his feet stomping towards you

"Your the y/n ?! Strongest female in the first division ?!"
"Gosh you look more majestic in person." The blond two pigtail girl squeaked out
"Captain Y/n." A formal tone caused everyones head to turn as the third division captain made way to you and the crowd surrounding you
"Ah, captain ashiro." You promptly replied making Mina smile to everyone shock
Once you and your childhood friend stood ahead of one another, the two of you did a old handshake the two of you made back when the two of you were kids
"THEY KNOW EACH OTHER ?!" The two divisions division shouted as the two female captains let out a slight giggle till it was interrupted
"Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING ?! WE ARENT SUPPOSE TO LIKE THE THIRD DIVISION !!!"
You gave your captain a puzzled expression
"DONT LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT !!!" Narumi pointed at you with a furious expression
"That's what happens when your the most like celebrity in the defense force, unlike someone~" hoshina made way beside you while teasing the captain with his sly remarks
"WHAT DID YOU- ?!" The captain words were forcefully held back by his vice captain, placing a hand over his mouth while the first division members face palmed
You just watched the entirety of what occurred in bewilderment
"Ms. Y/n ?" You turn to the soft voice in acknowledgment, now facing the fox eyed boy beside you
"Hm ?"
"Do you remember me ?" His sudden question causes you to make a bewildering expression
"I'm the one you saved from Kaiju 10." Your eyes slightly widen now recollecting what he spoke of and how you fled due to another mission you were called to immediately after, though you didn't even stick around to see who you were saving at the time
Since you weren't necessarily supposed to be there
"Oh, I do." You spoke with a thumb on your chin
"Well, I wanted to say thank you, but you fled before I could do so." The vice captain admitted as he continuing
"So I was wondering if I could take you out to show you my gratitude and appreciation." You stared at the boy while your thoughts ran, despite the third division vice captain failing to admit how he's been thinking about you since that day, the day you swooped in appearing like a guardian angel with blades saving his life
Is this guy really asking you on a date, infront of two divisions that dislike one another ? The two divisions pondered
"WHATTTTT ?!?!?!" Narumi shouted in utter disbelief interrupting the tense atmosphere
"What happened to not getting too acquainted with your peers~" Kafka teased in a slow tone, only to receive a death glare from his vice captain causing the man to flinch, before clinging on to Reno
"Yeah, why not." You shrugged as you watch the boy open his foxy like eyes in shock, revealing his vibrant violet eyes as a light tint dusted his cheeks
"I'd take it you weren't expecting that answer ?" Mina whispered to the boy, observing her vice captain flustered state
However the boy soon returned to his normal collected demeanor before slapping a hand on his face
"I sincerely apologize for not introducing myself, I'm Hoshina, the vice captain of the third division." Hoshina announced with a smile as he extended a hand
"Y/n, female captain of the first division." You return a smile of your own, taking his offered handshake while all eyes laid on the two of you
"I'm aware, to be truthful, I've admire you for quite some time now." Hoshina honestly stated with a toothy smile while tilting your hand, placing a light kiss on the back of it before his fingers inlaced with yours
"Now shall we go ma'lady ?" You raised a eyebrow
"W-wait, we're going right now ?"
Hoshina rubs the back of his head noticing his obvious eagerness
"Eh- well, unless you don't wish to at this moment, would you like too ?" You turn to face your childhood friend who stared back with a soft smile, giving a slight nod
"Of course let's go." You replied, earning a smile from the boy in response as he led you with the hands the two of you had intertwined with one another prior
"WOAHHHH !!!" Kafka shouted like the idiot he is
"OH NO HE DOESN'T- !" Narumi was held back once again as he eagerly persisted in his vice captain grasp while the two divisions stared at one another with bewilderment
"At least the tension settled a bit." Mina spoke too soon as the tension increased significantly now that the two of you were gone
