One fateful evening, the king stumbled upon a shocking truth. He had wandered into the castle's hidden passageway, seeking solace in the quite darkness. Instead, he overheard the Duke and Lady Victoria's hushed conversation, their words dripping with malice.

"......and once we eliminate the blind princess, no one will stand in our way, " Lady Victoria whispered, her voice like a snake slithering through the shadows. The king's heart racing, he listened in horror as they revealed their sinister plan. They would marry, uniting their power and claiming the throne. The king's mind reeled as he realized the depth of their betrayal.

But it was what Lady Victoria said next that made his blood run cold. " I did what needed to be done with my son. He was becoming a threat, just like his father. I couldn't bear to raise a child of the man who sentenced my parents to death."

The king's eyes widened as he recalled the fever that had supposedly claimed the young prince's life. He had mourned the loss of his son, the only prince that Arie kingdom had gotten, never suspecting the truth. Lady Victoria had murdered her own child, her own blood and flesh, to further her twisted ambitions!

The king's presence was discovered and the Duke and Lady Victoria spun around, their faces twisted in guilt and anger. The king knew he had to protect his daughter and the kingdom from these ruthless conspirators. But as he turned to leave, he felt a hand on his shoulder, a cold and calculating grip.

The king's eyes locked onto Lady Victoria's , his gaze burning with anger and betrayal. 'You murdered your own son,' he growled, his voice low and menacing. Lady Victoria's smile was a thin, cruel line. '' I did what needed to be done,'' she repeated, her voice dripping with malice.

With her eyes blazing with triumph, she continued to confront the king, her voice dripping with venom. " You pitiful fool,' she spat. ' You thought you could stop me but I have been pulling the strings all along and no one can stop me now. I orchestrated your wife's tragic demise, and I have been slowly poisoning you for months. You have mere hours left to live and soon the throne will be mine.

The king's face turned ashen, his eyes wide with horror and betrayal. 'No..... it can't be, 'he stammered, his voice trembling. 'You're a monster.' Lady Victoria laughed, a cold, mirthless sound that sent shivers down the king's spine. "Oh , yes I am. And as for your precious daughter, she's already helpless and useless, just like her parents. She won't be a problem for much longer.''

The Duke snickered, his hand on the hilt of his sword, his eyes gleaming with excitement. ' We'll take good care of her, your majesty. Don't worry.' The king's eyes darted around the room, desperate for an escape but Lady Victoria's words had left him reeling. He stumbled backwards, his legs weakening, his vision blurring.

Just as the Duke drew his sword, the servants burst in, concern etched on their faces. '' Your majesty, are you unwell?'' one of them asked, rushing to the king's side. Lady Victoria's mask slipped back into place, her expression concerned. 'Yes, he's taken a turn for the worse. I must get him back to his chamber at once. Call for the royal physician.'

The servants nodded, oblivious to the sinister plot unfolding before them. As they helped the king away, Lady Victoria's eyes met the Duke's and they shared a triumphant smile. The king's time was running out, and soon the throne would be theirs.

As the servants escorted the king away, Lady Victoria's smile grew wider. She could almost taste the power and control that would soon be hers. But just as she was about to turn away, she caught sight of the princess standing in the shadows, her blind eyes fixed intently on Lady Victoria.

A shiver ran down Lady Victoria's spine. How much had the princes heard? And what would she do with that knowledge? The Duke noticed Lady Victoria's gaze and followed it to the princess. His eyes narrowed. 'We can't let her live,' he whispered to Lady Victoria.

Lady Victoria nodded in agreement. "But we must be careful. The servants are loyal to the king, and if they suspect anything, they'll turn on us.'' The Duke's smile was cold and calculating, ' Leave that to me, my Lady. I will take care of the princess and anyone else who gets in our way.
