Amias's POV:
I woke up with a scorching headache from the night before. I remember heading back home, feeling a bit guilty for saying what I had said to that girl at the party. Emilia, I think her name was it. I was glad to head home to my family. I had asked the caterer if I could take the remaining food from the event, and he had agreed. Thankfully, the remaining food from the event will last us a couple weeks, before I have to go on a grocery run again.
Suddenly, I remembered the guy from the party. He had given me his business card and asked me to call him about the position he had offered me. I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, took a shower, and got dressed. I decided to give me the guy a call. Hopefully he could get me a good position and I'd have to stop with all the criminal acts to support my siblings.
On the phone:
Mr. Saint Claire: "Hello?"
Amias: "Hello, sir. I'm Amias Levando. We met at the party last night. We had talked of a potential job position. I'm calling to follow up on that offer."
Mr. Saint Claire: "Yes! Hello, Amias. It's very nice to hear from you again. I'm at the office all day and I have a flight at night. Is it possible if you could meet me at my office in about an hour?"
Amias: "Of course, sir. I'll be right there!"
I hang up the phone and wake up Troy to take care of the house while I am away. "Yes, I know the drill. I'm up, I'm up." Troy says as he rolls off the bed. He has done this a hundred times, so I trust it by now he knows what to do. I change into a suit, grab whatever suitcase looks neat, and head off to meet Mr. Saint Claire.
Emilia's POV:
I got dressed in a formal outfit to head to the office with my father. I always help him in his work on my free days. He had asked me to wear something comfortable as I was going to be spending the entire day at the office. I grabbed a formal yet cute outfit to match the day. I wore a grey pantsuit matched with a white buttoned-shirt and black kitten heels. I brought a pair of sneakers along for when my feet get tired.
My father and I arrived at the office. As soon as we stepped foot into the office, my father pulled an extra chair next to his desk and handed me a pile of papers to fax and deliver to his assistant. My father knows me too well to assign me important papers. He gave me a pile of work that needs to be filed and sent by the end of the day, but not important enough that I need to impose a precaution before even touching them.
A while after checking papers, filing them, and sending them to my father's assistant, Mr. Jacobi walks in. Daddy gets up and pulls Mr. Jacobi into a tight hug. "I wish I could sit and chat, but as you can see, I'm flooded with paperwork. I have my little Emy here helping me." Daddy and Mr. Jacobi smile and exchange pleasantries as I sit and finish whatever paperwork I still have. I hear a few more footsteps follow behind outside the office.
"I brought here our new trainee. He has been interviewed and I thought he would add a great touch to our company, Marqui. I told him he could start from today as we have no time to go through any formalities. Even Emy could coach him! She's a natural and knows the way around the company, of course, if she wouldn't mind. We don't want to impose anything on her." Daddy gives a smile and a nod to Mr. Jacobi.
