Wan GouRu immediately faltered. How could she know that the alcohol would smell differently from the rest of the champagne? She turned her head to Jiang NianNian who had told her to spill more alcohol to make it appear dramatic, meaning that Jiang NianNian didn't even know that the alcohol would smell differently and was as equally surprised.

Jiang NianNian turned her head to look at Wan GouRu and glared at her.

USELESS! Jiang NianNian yelled in her head. Wan GouRu wasn't actually helping— she was making it worse! She doesn't seem to realize who AiLin was yet, unlike the rest of the Jiang Family who was haunted by her presence even when she was in the prison for the last six years. They dreaded the day when AiLin would came. In a hurry, Jiang NianNian wreak her head and came up with an idea. She rushed toward one of the guest and plead, "PLEASE! PLEASE CALL THE POLICE!"

The man saw Jiang NianNian holding his hand and was immediately over the moon. Wanting to be her knight, he nodded and quickly pulled out his phone, snapping out from surprise as the other guests were enjoying the scene enfolding before them and refuse to call the police for this very reason.

"Call the police and we will see if they will catch me or catch you instead," AiLin's voice was as clear and sharp as an arrow drawn from a taut bowstring. "Do you know that since Wan GouRu accused me of breaking the bottle, she not only had defamed me by calling me accusations in front of people, she had also destroyed my gown?" AiLin pointed to the spillage on her dress, "Do you think you can afford cleaning this?"

Jiang NianNian gritted her teeth. Anger washed over her which she was trying so hard to endure, "Whatever it is, you have hurt my mother so you will pay for it!"

"I hurt her? I was defending myself. She was the one who had immediately raised her hand," and AiLin pointed to the guests, "One of them had recorded it so we could rewatch it. I'm quite knowledgeable about laws so you would be surprised to find out what I had done is legal."

Not really legal, thought AiLin but Jiang NianNian bought her words almost immediately as the girl wasn't quite familiar with laws and thought since AiLin had been in prison she must have been more knowing than her.

"What do you want?" Jiang NianNian asked and pressed her hand on her chest. She then cried, spilling her teardrops from her eyes which tugged everyone's heartstrings. The man from earlier felt saddened seeing NianNian's tears and immediately yelled.

"Yeah! What do you want woman?! You said Wan GouRu isn't saying the truth but is there a concrete evidence that would point Wan GouRu as the one who had broke the bottle?! You accused Wan GouRu too so you can be in jail!"

AiLin narrowed her eyes at the man and when she frowned, the man felt a cold brush over his shoulders that made him shudder.

She shrugged, "Then let us call the hotel staff. Since I have time, I will lent it a bit for you people. We can check the recording of the CCTV together."

Jiang NianNian who heard this smirked. Earlier on she had told her assistant to go to the hotel staff and ask them to delete the part of Wan GouRu's scene for good. Even if they searched, it is gone! No one knew it yet but once they found out who AiLin really is and her crimes, they would immediately suspect AiLin as the liar. Good riddance!

Jiang NianNian chuckled in her head. Did AiLin really think she could mess with her? She would sorely regret this!

The staff came not soon after and replied with a wrung of his hand, "I- I am utterly sorry everyone. The recording is gone!"

"How can the CCTV recording be gone?!" Mrs Jiang yelled, "You staff will be held accountable for what happened tonight!"

AiLin frowned and moved her eyes to see from the corner of her view, a face of Jiang NianNian with a wide grin from one ear to another as she seemed the most delighted to see that now AiLin was losing her credibility.

Taking the chance, Jiang NianNian spoke loudly, "I know what you want from us! But please, isn't this enough? You have spent six years in prison! You should have changed your ways when you got out instead of—"

"—I have the recording," a deep voice took over everyone attention. Not because of how clear the voice was and how it could bring everyone to immediately turn their eyes and focus on Li ZiChen. He had been leaning on the wall, watching everything and people were so focused on the scene that was a juicy bag of gossip that they didn't notice the kind of expression that Li ZiChen had been making from earlier on.

He stepped between the guests who immediately steered away from standing in front of his way. He then reached out his hand on the sky, swinging a USB to the view, "This is the recording that we can watch together."

The Jiang Family, Jiang NianNian, Wan GouRu, and lastly, AiLin all looked at him in surprise.

AiLin saw as he walked up the stage, his arms reaching out to her waist but before he could touch her she pinch his palms and instead of gaining his frown, she saw him laughing faintly. He whispered, "I came at the right time, didn't I?"

"To save me like a knight in shining white armor?" AiLin retorted with a smile, "You keep following me around, helping me out, I'm afraid I will start thinking that you have somehow fallen in love with me."

"Why think?" Li ZiChen pulled his left corner of lips higher, "Isn't it good to have someone loving you? Someone so loyal and so understanding. Someone who would be there at your beck and call."

"What do you want from me?" AiLin asked the question the second time again, "Tell me straight."

Li ZiChen stared at her eyes. Thinking deeply to himself, he only smiled without replying, "You don't have to question why I want to help you, AiLin. All you have to do is to accept it and use me. You want to burn this place to ground don't you?" With a chuckle, his voice sounded like a devil. A devil who wish to help her.

"Just tell me what you want. I have gasoline prepared for you if you would like to burn this place down now."
