Say An Apology

AiLin's smile became wider without her own notice. She stared at each of their expression, taking it in joy as she does see in delight the suffering that the Jiang Family had suffered. There were many types of suffering this family needed to suffer, emotionally, socially, and physically.

This was just the beginning.

"I see," Li ZiChen spoke aloud, "So you are really talented in lying, Miss Wan GouRu, Miss Jiang NianNian, and the rest of the Jiangs Family."

"N- No this is a li—" before Wan GouRu could defend herself a loud resounding slap rang in the room.

Everyone turned their heads, looking at Wan GouRu who was now holding her left cheeks as Jiang NianNian had flung her wrist and slapped Wan GouRu a crossed her cheeks, startling Wan GouRu herself.

"You lied to me, Wan GouRu!" Jiang NianNian yelled angrily. "You told me what had happened was the opposite— I believed you and even protected you! But turns out it was you who had broke the bottle and blamed it on somebody else!"

AiLin watched the quick decision made by Jiang NianNian with a scoff. This girl is indeed good at pretending. She is well aware that NianNian knew the entire ordeal, after all Wan GouRu has the habit of making others shoulder for her blame. This isn't her first rodeo and NianNian knew the bottle was broken by Wan GouRu. The only reason why she had agreed in helping Wan GouRu instead of being mad was because she wanted to embarrass her.

Unfortunately for Wan GouRu, Jiang NianNian wasn't loyal in friendships. Upon seeing the video and realizing that her name would be dragged on the mud, she knew she had to cut off Wan GouRu and push the blame to her.

What a fun game of blaming.

Wan GouRu seemed upset and wanted to defend herself but Jiang NianNian yelled out loud, "Security drag this woman out now!"

"NO! I'M SORRY NIANNIAN!! THIS IS A MISUNDERSTANDING I CAN EXPLAIN PLEASE—" Wan GouRu felt as two men dragged her out in seconds. The same men was called to chase out AiLin earlier didn't come when NianNian had ordered her to be brought away but when it's her turn now, the security came in matter of seconds! Wan GouRu wrecked her mind, wondering when it had all gone wrong but when she looked back at the light of the stage, her eyes froze at AiLin who was holding a smile between her lips, staring back at her with a faint chuckle.

She is really... that fox!

The party hall grew silent again the moment Wan GouRu had been dragged away. The Jiang couples didn't dare to speak and hung her head low while Jiang NianNian couldn't handle the stares given by people and pretended to faint on purpose. She then had her fans gathering around her begging for her to be brought to another room for her to rest.

AiLin stared at all the pathetic scene and shrugged her shoulders. As she stared at Jiang NianNian whose eyelids were still shaking as she hadn't actually fainted, she felt someone burning a hole on the back of her skull with his gaze.

She turned to see Li ZiChen who seemed to be staring at her, expecting something.

But his expression turned sour as AiLin saw his gaze had moved from her over to Jiang MengYao who had to take the conversation to take control of the situation again, "Sir Li, I cannot express to you how embarrassed and appalled I am by Miss Wan GouRu's behavior. We have trusted her but it appeared that our trust had fallen to the wrong hands."

Li ZiChen was smiling but he seemed unamused as he spoke, "Well that's not really difficult. I need Mrs Jiang to first apologize to AiLin. I need her to be as sincere as possible as she apologize for almost hurting her precious skin."

Mrs Jiang was quickly shocked as her eyes widened from her socket. Her wrinkled forehead became marred in anger, "What do you mean apologize? I wasn't the one who had lied and moreover that wench was the one who had slapped me!"

"I saw everything so I know that AiLin was only protecting herself," Li ZiChen then crossed his arms, "Do you know Mrs Jiang of what happened to everyone who has crossed me?"

Mrs Jiang went silent as she looked at her husband who equally has the same ghostly paled face. This was because they knew well of every companies that had been buried underground for merely offending Li ZiChen by their words. Not only that, there was a rumor that when Li ZiChen was the age of seventeen he had burned down a house of people who had harmed him. He was never convicted because of his family's powerful influence even in the politics. Simply saying, if he wants someone to be gone, he could do it in a blink.

Li ZiChen smiled as he saw the reaction he wanted to see. He added, "Do you also know why everyone wish to be my friends? Because I take care of my families and friends extremely well like my own soul. So do put this in mind, if you offend Hua AiLin, you have just greatly offended me. If you had almost slapped her, that means your hand had almost hurt me too."

"Now apologize."

Mrs Jiang didn't want to move. She glared at AiLin in contempt. She couldn't believe this girl is not the Jiang AiLin, the girl who had made her life a living nightmare! Now she has to apologize to this mutt?! Impossible! She doesn't want to!

"Mother," Jiang MengYao spoke, "Just apologize."

Mrs Jiang's face seemed betrayed as she spoke in a taut tone, "But I didn't do anything!"

"Apologize, FuHua!" Her husband yelled at her. "Just this once!"

Mrs Jiang was torn but eventually had no choice but to apologize as she understood she couldn't have her family company to be gone overnight! She couldn't have the legacy of her family's company and wealth to now be swept under the rug and all her hard work ended by a young snobby man!

"I'm sorry.." Mrs Jiang said in a stiff tone.

AiLin saw as Mrs Jiang was holding back her own anger through her words, her shame, and her face that now turn blue as she seemed to be in need of oxygen.

"For what?" AiLin asked. She saw Mrs Jiang snapping her eyes back at her, annoyed that instead of just accepting her apologies, she instead wanted her to apologize even more, breaking down her good name!

AiLin placed her hand over her ears and taunted, "I'm sorry but what did you say? Can't you speak even louder? To show some of your sincerity, I hope you can smile while you apologize."
