(Arc 1 Finale)Chapter 10: Deceitful Nature

Yuki didn't know what he was getting himself into. He knew that the leaders had discussed plans for dealing with Deceit and the Blood Brothers. Though he did promise her that he'll do what he could in the fight against Deceit.

"Yuki~"

Yuki looked over at the brown-haired girl with white-ends who was making her way over to him.

"You're coming with me to the Allay Village, right?"

Andera asked as she stopped right next to him. Her blue crystalline eyes were looking at him curiously.

"Yes, I am"

Yuki confirmed with a small smile. He noticed that Andera was tilting her head up at him and thinking about something as she stared into his soul. He worried that Andera was thinking deeply about her past again, he didn't know but he knew a few things.

"Yuki... Deceit will show up at the village"

Andera started, trailing off to gauge his reaction. Yuki looked at her with a raised eyebrow. He nodded his head when Andera wasn't going to continue until she got a response.

"I need you and Lazure to distract him for as long as you both possibly can"

Andera informed Yuki, she seemed to be tense but she kept a facade up. Yuki didn't interrupt her to ask questions 'til she was done.

"What will you be doing?"

Yuki asked the girl with multiple masks. Andera looked at Yuki and smiled at him. There was something off and ominous about the smile.

"I'll be sealing our chances to win"

Andera said as she turned away, she waved as she walked away and left Yuki by himself.

Yuki dodged fireballs left and right, his silver eyes spied Lazure also dodging fireballs from across the fields. The corrupted Yellow Steve was hovering above them. His hand gripped a white crystal, the light crystal thrummed with energy as he summoned a shield of light to block a few fireballs. He saw Lazure flood the plains that were covered in flames out of the corner of his eye.

"Stop paying attention to him and pay attention to me!"

Deceit shouted at him as the corrupted descended with a downward slash of his katana. Yuki spun his spear and dropped the shield, using both hands to hold the spear against the blade. He gritted his teeth as he struggled to block the attack. He moved his body around and let Deceit nearly crash into the ground next to him. Deceit growled as he got up and swung his katana in a wide horizontal slash. Yuki was pushed back and away from the attack by water. Decesit was pushed back by the giant wave as Yuki was grabbed by someone. Yuki looked up to see Lazure holding him in his arms.

Yuki looked ahead to see Deceit climbing out of the flooded plains. He looked around for anything that could help give them the upper hand. Yuki's hands throbbed from the energy within his spear and the light crystal. His eyes both widened and lit up as a plan formed in his mind.

"Lazure! Throw me at him!"

Yuki told the Elder Blue, his silver eyes were shining with determination. Lazure looked down at him like he was insane.

"Are you sure!? Will you even be able to dodge his katana!?"

Lazure exclaimed in shock. His dark blue eyes searched Yuki's silver ones but Yuki was not backing down. Lazure sighed before beating his wings. He made sure they were at an acceptable before spinning around and hurling Yuki at Deceit.
