Kairos Swan leant against his car, he had crossed his arms, his expression unwavering from its stoic expression. The black 1967 chevy impala glistened in the sun as he watched his sister and mother say their goodbyes.
The nineteen year old didn't know what to feel, didn't know how to react. He wasn't sure why they had been reincarnated, why they were now living in a sappy vampire romance. He had thought that he had gotten through it, that he wouldn't be forced to become one of them, again.
But he was again proved otherwise. A solo hunting trip gone wrong when he was eighteen was his undoing in this life, he wasn't fast enough, by the time he had killed the stubborn vampire he had realized that he was already bitten. And then he turned, again, only this time he didn't turn into one of those sparkly wannabe vampires, not that he was before of course, he found this a relief despite being in their universe.
After realizing that he was more alike his 'the vampire diaries' counterpart he quickly sought out one of his old witch contacts and fashioned himself a daylight ring, a lapis lazuli gold signet ring on his middle finger.
Kairos was still the same monster, just upgraded. He continued to hunt the supernatural that preyed upon the innocent, to protect the humans from the creatures of the night.
He continued to live up to his father's legacy, Charlie Swan retired hunter of the supernatural, now the chief of police in the dreary town of Forks, Washington.
Unlike his sister Isa, Kairos held no attachment to their mother Renee. Her motherly love had stopped short at her brother who was two years Isabella's senior. The boy was constantly out on the weekends, always getting into trouble, covered in tattoos, and returning with bruised fists and wrapped up wounds. He constantly worried his sister who would inspect him for wounds upon his return and ask him to sit while she mended them.
Renee resented the boy for his 'accident' when he was eighteen, resented the fact that he chose to heal in another state far away from them. That he had to retake his last year of high school, due to the accident. She resented the fact that he never needed her, that he preferred his father over her.
