⇄ ◃◃ ⅠⅠ ▹▹ ↻I never thought it would come to this. The heavy weight of Changbin's hoodie pulls at my shoulders, but it's the only thing I feel remotely safe in right now. It smells like him—his cologne, the faint scent of his laundry detergent. Every time I bury my face into the fabric, it's like I can pretend, just for a moment, that the world outside doesn't exist.
I sink deeper into the bed, feeling like I could disappear into the mattress if I just try hard enough. Changbin's voice filters through from the other room, low and serious. He's been on edge all day, his anger barely contained beneath that calm surface. I hear him moving around in the living room of his dorm, probably setting up for the live stream. I know what he's about to do, and though I appreciate it, there's a part of me that's scared of what will happen next.
My phone is off. After everything that's been said about me—no, thrown at me—I can't bear to look at it. The hate, the comments, the threats... I tried to brush them off at first, telling myself that it would pass, that not everyone felt the same way. But the longer it went on, the harder it became to ignore.
Changbin... God, he's been amazing through all of it. Always there, always making sure I'm okay, even when I could see how much it was affecting him too. I hear a faint shuffle and realize he's started the live.
I pull the blanket up around my shoulders, trying to drown out the world.
Stray Kids' Instagram account had already sprung into action long before this moment. The official account had been regularly posting supportive messages and updates, making it clear where they stood. With every post, every story, the group reinforced their loyalty to me and Changbin, ensuring fans knew the full weight of their support. They weren't just being silent bystanders—they were fighting back.
Each of the members had stepped up individually, going live to speak to STAYs, making their voices heard. Bang Chan was one of the first, his leader-like presence calming the storm, reassuring everyone that this wasn't something to ignore. His words had been strong but kind, trying to guide the fandom back to a place of love and respect. Felix posted a story, his usual bright smile replaced by something more somber as he simply asked fans to "please be kind." Seungmin, always measured, had shared his thoughts in a live, emphasizing that "we should be lifting each other up, not tearing anyone down."
Even Hyunjin, known for his emotional vulnerability, had gone live, his words soft but pointed, reminding everyone that they don't get to decide who someone else loves. "It's not your place to judge," he had said, the raw emotion in his voice evident.
Lee Know had taken a more direct approach. During his live, he didn't mince words, stating bluntly, "If you don't support all of us—including Y/n—you're not really supporting any of us." His straightforwardness had made a lasting impact, as fans flooded the comments with support.
