Nile appeared at the doorway, looking effortlessly refreshed as if he had just stepped out of a cool shower. His face was still damp, with two strands of his locs at the front clinging to his forehead, droplets glistening in the morning light.
The rest of his locs were neatly tied back, leaving those two front strands rebelliously wet.
Wet... Just like me fih real.
Currently wet enough fih wash him free from all his sins.
He wore a simple black t-shirt paired with grey joggers, a single gold chain glistened around his neck, his casual outfit enhancing his relaxed demeanor.
Him look so good.
The faint scent of citrus lingered around him, a blend of bergamot, lemon, and orange, layered with subtle hints of lavender and sandalwood.
I knew that scent... Colonia!
Post traumatic stress disorder? Yea, definitely.
"Yuh wake up?" he asks, stepping into the bedroom. I raise my hand, signaling him to pause.
No way mi a answer him an mi teeth nuh brush yet.
I swiftly head into the bathroom, noticing a fresh pink toothbrush already set out on the counter. A bit further up, in a crystal cup, was a used blue one.
After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I leave the bathroom and return to the room, then make my way to the kitchen.
"Morning!" I finally reply, forcing a bubbly smile to mask the awkwardness.
But the more I smiled, the more awkward it felt. He was standing at the counter, staring at me with a grin.
"Yuh good? Last night yuh did seem kinda shaken up."
