When Cassopiea stirred and finally opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a young girl with blonde hair, little blue eyes, and pale skin, looking at her with concern. The girl seemed to be about her age. “Are you okay?” the girl asked gently, helping Cassopiea sit up. “Quite the fall you took. Guruma is very worried!” She handed Cassopiea a glass of water, which she gratefully accepted. As she drank, her mind began to clear, and the first question that escaped her lips was, “Is my baby okay?”
Before the blonde girl could answer, a voice cut in, rich with warmth and authority. “Your baby is hale and hearty, my child,” said the elder woman, the same one whose arms Cassopiea had collapsed into. Her presence was calming, and Cassopiea felt a sense of safety in her aura.
“What happened?” Cassopiea asked, still holding her throbbing head.
“The journey to Shambhala finally caught up to you,” the woman replied, sitting beside her and checking her temperature with a gentle touch. “Quite the daring decision you made, to travel all the way to Shambhala in your condition.”
“It was the best choice for me and my little one,” Cassopiea reaffirmed, determination evident in her voice. As she looked more closely, she noticed that the woman had glowing brown skin, thick black hair, and deep brown eyes that seemed to hold centuries of wisdom.
“Sure it will be,” the woman said with a reassuring smile. “The girl you met when you woke up is your roommate, along with another. They will explain how everything works here in Shambhala. And I expect to see your subject list prepared first thing tomorrow morning. I am Gurumata, your teacher in history and music. My name is Arti. I hope you will find your stay here in Shambhala comfortable. And don’t worry about your little baby; we will arrange everything. It is not the first time a pregnant student has arrived. We accept students of all ages.” Cassopiea nodded in understanding, and Gurumata left the room.
The blonde girl approached her again with a friendly smile. “Hey, I’m Calliope. Well, full name Calliope Astrid. I’m the Kyre, or Lady, of Estate Lyrista.”
**So, she’s Greek,** Cassopiea thought, quickly recalling her etiquette training. She offered a polite smile and introduced herself formally. “I am Cassopiea Victoria Potter, Lady of House Potter, Peverell, and Gryffindor, and Heiress Black. Duchess of Ravensmoor, Countess of Blackwood, and Viscountess of Nightshade.” She finished with a courteous bow.“My, my, many titles you’ve got there,” said a voice from behind. The two girls turned to see another girl approaching, clearly of Indian descent. She offered her own curtsy. “I am Veda, the second-born princess of Hyderabad.”
