"Shalini, for the last time I am saying, I'm not going to do the ramp walk. We both know how Ravi is going to react." I tried to reason out the second most stubborn person I know after Ravi, Shalini. Shalini has been trying to get me into a ramp walk for months now, and finally she was able to get the perfect brand. As a manager Shalini had an amazing network, which got me the role of the show stopper. But things are different now, the thought of angering Ravi shakes me to the core. But Shalini seems like she has forgotten the death threat due got from Ravi few weeks ago.
"I couldn't care less, Mimi. You need to do this, you are my star, remember and please do it." Shalini looks at me with her puppy eyes. I sighed knowing I don't really have an out to this.
"I'll still talk to Ravi. If he doesn't agree, I'm not doing it." I said. Shalini deadpans at my idea. "Hear me out okay?" I say. "If he tells me to do otherwise, I might manipulate him somehow to get me something better." I smirk. We both are using each other afterall.
Shalini looks at me mischievously and chuckles, "Are you really my little Mimi?" To which I burst out laughing.
It was six o clock right now and I'm waiting infront of Ravi's office contemplating the decision of telling him about the ramp walk over and over again. Especially what he did last time. After rehearsing my lines few more times and walked into his office. This was it.
He was sitting behind his table, extremely focused on the file in his hand. I cleared my throat to grab his attention, and it worked. "Mira, what are you doing here?" He asks looking into my eyes. I take a seat infront of him and light up my cigarette the took a puff.
"Just wanted to see you how you are doing?" I say, Ravi smirks and gets up from his chair the come around the table in front of me then snatches my cigarette. "So how's work?" I asked, remaining calm and careful.
He crosses his arms across his chest and finally speaks, "You want something, Mira. Just spit it out already." I nod slowly in understanding and take a deep breath.
"Shalini wants me to do this ramp walk for Beyond. It's a leisure wear company." I whispered. Ravi's are hands reaches my faces and slowly traces my jawline with his fingers.
"If you are asking about permission, sure....." He trails off looking at my soul, yet not looking at me too,"...do something for me before that, alright?" He asks.
"What?" I ask in anticipation. There's no way he is agreeing to me without any arguments.
He smirks and replies, "I want you to deliver a package for me, Kitten. Something only you can do." His hands traces me collar bone over my top.
"What package?" I asked again, not liking where the conversation might end.
"Cocaine, 500g..." He paused for his dramatic effect, "For Mr. Bhalotia." He smirks. Well shit.
