The first day of school is never easy. You have these stereotypes that people classify you as and you have one day to prove them wrong.
You have the jocks who are pretty much bad asses who break the rules.
You have the hipsters who wear cool things but not over the top clothes and they love old retro things.
You have the Nerds and Geeks who make straight As, suck at sports, and are in tons of clubs.
You have the gamers who spend time playing video games or old games like chess, checkers, cards, solitaire, etc.
You have the preps who are the rich popular kids aka Megan and Sidney. Think they are all that and wear clothes that are over the top with gobs of makeup that make them look like clowns.
You see most books get it all wrong. They make it obvious the popular kids are mean but what happens is in reality the popular kids are actually super nice and are bitches behind your back. Unless you come across a nice prep which does occasionally happen.
You have the just losers that don't look nice and talk about crap half he time making dirty jokes about sex and racist comments you know that bullshit.
You have the hyper active psychos who have too much energy and seem mentally unstable.
Finally you have the goths and emos who wear black or band t-shirts listen to music like MCR, Screamo, and some self harm, but goth and emos are mainly about the music not the clothes.
Some of you may have heard of these stereotypical things and are wondering what you or I am. I honest to heart don't know. I guess I'm just normal. At school no one knows I'm
A depressed teen I act like a nerdy, gamer, hyper, hipster teen but that's not me.
The only stereotypical things I didn't mention is losers, preps, and Emo and goths. I swear to God I'm not a loser or a prep I guess I'm just an Emo/Goth in disguise. The thing that sucks about that is if I go up to a Emo or Goth in school I'll look like a poser or I might as well tell my friends I am depressed.
I entered the school and it looked exactly like the last day of school. Trash everywhere, lockers jammed or people forgetting their combination, gum under desks, you name it. I made my way to homeroom and heaved a heavy sigh.
I sat down in a wooden desk next to me to the right a hipster Girl named Pandora who wore a knitted beanie and had big chunky nerdy glasses. Her hair was red and was long enough to reach her waist. I sat in front of a Emo/goth boy named Autumn who had similar hair to Nepal but without streaks. He had a single cartilage piercing with a black stud as well as black jeans and a black hoodie with a band t-shirt and gray converse.
Great I got fun people to talk to. One that I'm faking to act like; the other one I'm truly their stereotype but they don't know it. I thought sarcastically.
Since homeroom was basically catchup time for most people until everyone got here I decided to try to make friends with Pandora first.
"Hey Pandora how are you doing?"
Pandora was staring at a comic book, sighed and folded it up sticking it in her backpack. I saw that the comic book was Batman.
"Fine I guess"
"So you don't have friends either right?"
"No they're just not here yet" Pandora said a bit annoyed.
"So you like batman?"
But before she could answer her friend came and sat down at the desk next to her and they began chatting.
I decided to speak to Autumn next. He was listening to music on his phone. I stared at him until he took his headphones off. The music was blaring loud and all I heard was screaming. I knew it once it had to be Screamo.
"Hey" I said casually trying not to look like a stalker.
"What do you want?" Autumn asked.
I ignored him and said: "Oh you like Screamo too?"
Autumn rolled his eyes and put back on his headphones.
Wow it's harder to make friends in High School rather than Middle School. There was one seat left the seat to my left was open and soon a girl plopped down in the chair. She had long silvery blonde hair and a light blue dress.
She carried a sketch book, pencils, and a pen. I glanced at her book and they were filled with marvelous drawings of things. From trees, to eyes, to countries. They looked better than realistic they were art museum worthy. The girl caught me staring. I blushed. She then held out her hand to me.
"Hi I'm Echo and I'd love to be your friend. I take it you like art?"
I shook her hand. "Oh yeah I love art, your drawings are amazing and I'm Indonesia by the way."
"Oh like the region? I drew it a while back ago." She flipped through her book until she showed me the drawing.
"That's beautiful!"
"Thanks... I'm new here, I just moved here from England. Can you introduce to me some of your class mates?"
"Oh I don't really have friends... But behind me is Autumn and beside me to the right is Pandora."
"Woah you mean like Pandora the Greek goddess who opened the jar!?"
"Yeah I guess"
"That super rad!"
"So how about Autumn what's he like?"
"I don't know" I said while shrugging. "Beats me all he has done since I got here is listen to music."
"What type?"
"I don't know Heavy Metal, Rock, Hard Core, I guess. Last time I tried to talk he was listening to Screamo."
"That sounds interesting."
"I guess if you want to believe that. To me it sounds like pure crap burned on a CD."
"I want to listen to what do you call it? Cream yo?"
I laughed at Echo that time. "Sure come over after school and we will search it on YouTube."
So I made a new friend but it probably won't last long...
The bell rang at 3:30 and we headed out of school. Echo followed me on the bus which was loaded with teens. Of course there was 0 preps because their parents actually didn't want the poor things to sit on a bus with ratty junky teens and so that was the ups side.
The whole bus was crowded with teens. Some smoking smarties and others playing video games on their phone like minecraft, others were listening to music or watching YouTube. This is how the bus was. In the very front sat the nerds and hipsters. I passed Pandora on the way through the bus. Then in the middle were the losers talking about shit, and then in the very back where nobody sat was where the Emos chilled.
The only place open was in the very back with no one but one person seating in a seat next to the window with headphones in their ears jamming to music. Guess who it was? Autumn.
I groaned and slowly sat down and Echo followed. Autumn glanced at me and took off his headphones.
"So... Homeroom stalker girl... Never caught your name." Autumn said.
"First off I'm not a stalker I was just trying to make friends and it's Indonesia by the way."
"Indonesia... That's a pretty name."
"Thanks I guess..."
"Who's your friend?"
"Oh that's Echo."
"Interesting..."
"What?" I asked.
Autumn ignored me and asked: "So Indonesia what do you like to do?"
"Read."
"What exactly do you like to read?"
"Well... I like the classics, mythology, and creepypasta."
"Shut the fuck up! You like creepypasta?"
"Yeah why not? I think Ticci Toby and Jeff the Killer are rad."
"Dude creepypasta is my life!"
"What's creepypasta? Macaroni?" Echo asked.
"What the hell!? No it's not macaroni! Is that even a question!? It's a hell of a good fanfiction that creep the shit out of you!" Autumn said.
"Can we read and watch some when we get to your house?" Echo asked me.
"Sure why not?"
Soon the bus stopped at my street and as Echo and I got up so did Autumn.
"Autumn where are you going!?" I asked.
"Duh home, I live near you too."
We got off the bus and walked down the sidewalk.
Autumn got to his door and turned the knob.
"Shit the doors locked!" He said kicking the door with his shoe.
Autumn ran to meet up with us.
"Hey can I crash with you and Echo til my brother gets home? The damn bastard locked me out- again."
I shrugged. "Why not?"
So Echo, Autumn, and I headed up to my room. We were alone my parents didn't get home until 5:30 so we had the house to ourselves. I YouTubed some of Screamo's music for Echo to listen to and she covered her ears.
"This is music!?" She said yelling over the loud noise.
"Duh he's awesome!" Autumn said.
After the song finished I googled some cool creepy pasta videos and Echo got scared silly. We watched Laughing Jack. She had to go home at 4:30 for art class though so it was just me and Autumn, we listened to Screamo music filling the whole room.
At 5:00 Nepal knocked on my door and I excused myself and went down to answer the door.
"Hey Indi I decided to drop by since I don't see you very often. My schools been good and I have straight As for the semester. I was wondering if you wanted to go grab a coffee or- GOD DAMNIT WHATIS THE FUCKING NOISE!?"
Soon Autumn ran down the stairs. "What do you mean by 'Fucking noise'?! It's music you dumb idiot!"
"Indi who is this?" Nepal said angrily.
"Friend from school."
"Just a 'friend'? Oh I see you have enough time to hang out with this thing but not me!?"
"What do you mean by 'this thing'!? You bitch!" Autumn said.
Nepal stared intently at me then at Autumn, then slammed the door shut as a paper fell from his hand.
"Hey Indonesia, I gotta go, I'll see you tomorrow." Autumn said waving goodbye.
Tears soon dropped from my eyes and I picked up the piece of paper Nepal dropped. This is what it said:
Dear Indi,

We have known each other from quite a long time now. We have been friends for ages and I just have to tell you something I've been wanting to tell you for quite some time now.
I love you Indonesia. You complete me and make me happy in life. When I'm having a shitty day you're there for me and make me smile. It's impossible not to be happy when your around. You are my sunshine and I need you every day.
I hope you have the same feelings for me too, but I don't want something this retarded to get in the way of our friendship.
Your friend,
Nepal
