Heads up, from this point on, shit gets crazy, like really fucking crazy. It might be a bit hard to follow, but bear with me, alright? Trust me, this will go somewhere. You got it, alright, here we go.
So, I'm at the bunker, currently asleep. I can't exactly remember what I was dreaming of that night, but I do remember being abruptly by the morning bell. I got out from my cot (it was surprisingly comfortable), and I started to walk to the cafeteria. As I was walking, I went past a tv playing the news, I stopped to hear what was being broadcasted.
"Good morning citizens of Inkopolis, last night there was a one-man raid of an arms dealing criminal gang with no survivors. Police were unsure who the assailant is, but the evidence collected point to a potential vigilante looking out for the citizens. As of right now, there isn't enough evidence to find anyone guilty yet. Coming up next is the weather."
A one-man fuckin raid on a gang? That's one hell of a story. So, I kept walking, I also passed by some of the leaders of the factions, and they seemed to be planning something.
" -we've identified their military bases and we've intercepted their intercommunication radio waves. We're trying to decipher their language . . ." Bob would say, holding up a radio headset.
"Hey uh," I'd tap on Bob's shoulder, "Could I listen in?"
" . . . Sure, why not?" He'd pass me the headset; I'd put it on. Bob would turn on the radio and turn the knob to a certain frequency. I'd begin to hear what was probably soldiers speaking.
"-arrier 4 to MAINCOM, Carrier 4 to MAINCOM." I'd hear a soldier say on the radio.
"MAINCOM to Carrier 4." Another voice would respond on the radio.
"Wait a second . . . " I'd say. "This . . . this is just an alteration of Japanese."
"We're ready for transportation of the prepared shipment of vehicles and weapons from Kraken Army Base."
"Get me a map!" Someone would grab a map for me and set it on the table.
"Copy Carrier 4, move out at 2100 and take Route 35.""Copy that MAINCOM."
I'd take a pencil and trace a line along the road of Route 35 on the map. I'd set both the pencil and the headphones down.
"Alright, they're planning to transport vehicles and weapons from here along this route, however they never specified a destination."
"If we get some rifles and hide in these spots," Vernon would make some dots on the map. "They'll assume that the attacks were from Octavio and we won't be thought of one bit. But we'll have to move fast and stay focused."
"Jackson," Bob would turn to him, "could I put this operation into your hands?"
"You can count on my Special Operation team."
"Good, it's settled." Vernon would face the rest of us. "I heard that our friend, Lyric, here needs a new car, isn't that correct?"
"Yes, a car would be very nice," In that moment, I realized I had no car to my name, "I could do recon on missions if I got one."
"Well, we were thinking on finding you a wrecked car and fitting it in your image, there's no hassle, no risk, and it's essentially free to take a wrecked car."
"Really? If you can identify a Mitsubishi Eclipse, that would be great, but I can take any sports car or hatchback."
"Well, there's a multitude of highways used for evacuation before the floods, we can check the most thought of, which also happens to have the most cars. We can start shipping out when you're ready."
