3rd POV

Today has been too good.
In fact it was so good that even the birds were chirping soundly near her windows, as the girl awoke from her slumber of eight hours of sleep.

She was even able to grab her iced coffee without having to run for the train too.

Thus, she was able to have at least thirty minutes to prepare for her presentation for the proposals for the upcoming year.

What a great day, she thought as she was organising her freshly printed documents that were to be handed to each person in the meeting room.

Arms wrapped around y/n's shoulders, causing her to startle from the surprised action.

"Hey y/n! I haven't seen you in soooo long!" y/n's best friend, Fumiko exclaimed.

Laughing hastily she replied, "We literally went shopping yesterday, but I guess I'm that miss-able hmm."

All things were going eerily well and honestly quite splendid.

However, this was only the calm before the storm, of what was waiting to unfold in front of her.

"... and with that, those are the primal examples of what could be expected in our plans for 20xx,"
y/n says as she finishes off with a grin.

"That's great, you have listed off the prime examples of what is to be expected from this firm. You are truly a standard to be reckoned with! Good job today!" the boss, Aki says gleefully.

"I guess that's a wrap for our meeting, off with your projects! Let's keep up the good work!"

With that call, everyone in the room began to pack their belongings and were going to scatter off out of the rooms into their assigned seating.

"y/n may i have a word with you" Aki said with a smile, as y/n was in the middle of packing her materials away.

y/n furrowed her eyebrows, wondering if she did anything wrong during the presentation.

I mean surely not, she did say that I was a 'standard to be reckoned with' or whatever that means.

"OH. This isn't any thing to do with your presentation today," Aki laughed, "This is about client that I wanted to assign to you".

As if she was holding a breath, she sighed in relief. Well, mentally of course, got to keep it demure and mindful.

"y/n you have shown yourself to be extremely capable. Which is why for this client that I'll be assigning it to you."

Keep the flattery going. y/n thought, smiling internally in the inside.

"I also believe you might be quite familiar with this person".

"Oh, really?"

"Yes, he went to the same high school as you".

"Is that so?" That really peaked her curiosity

"Yep, in fact he plays volleyball," Aki wiggled her eyebrows.

Laughing nervously from Aki's attempt in making a joke, y/n replied, "Yeah I don't think I know anyone who plays volleyball".

"Are you sure? Your high school's volleyball team were and still are pretty popular"

"Yep, I'm sure."

"Oh, anyways that doesn't really matter much. What matters more is that you will have this client to work with."

"So what PR issues are they running into?"

"Nothing too big that you can't handle."

Obviously, y/n knew that in fact she has managed about total of 15 clients from time her time at Kimira PR firms. With most of them still being in contact with her, and giving out recommendations to others.

"What's the issue though, so I can take into account of who I can contact and organise a way to take action."

"Weeeeeellll, that's gonna take a while to discuss."
