Chapter Five: Let The Heist Begin

"Greetings," came a familiar robotic voice through the coms. Vision, lying prone on the rooftop, adjusted the scope to his eye, focusing intently on the bank across the street.

Tsukino was surprised at the quick detection by the criminal despite his lack of direct attention.

"In front of you should be a small box, open it and retrieve the thumb drive." He informed her through the earpiece once more. "Once you locate a suitable processing unit insert the drive via usb port. Then, I will breach the system and bypass all security. You will have five minutes to download the files you desire. Good luck."

So she'd be relying on this guy for her benefit. If he fails then this will all be for nothing. Her face scrunched upon realization. "And what if you can't get in?" She knelt to grab the small box.

"There's no need to question my abilities," Vision's voice was smooth and confident. "My quirk enhances my skills far beyond what Cleave might have suggested."

Tsukino hummed in understanding. "Don't mess this up. I've never failed a mission and I won't have you making this one a first." Nothing more was said from him as he returned focus to the scope.

With that, she rose and closed the small box before moving toward the bank's rooftop door. Shadows propelled her across the street to the opposite building. Upon landing, she was greeted by Cleave's irritated scowl and Charm's unnerving grin.

"Heya Eclipse!" Charm called out, her voice echoing loudly in the quiet night. "I'm so excited to work with you! You'll feel amazing with me by your side!"

Cleave's face reddened with frustration. "For the love of god—shut the hell up!" he snapped.

Tsukino shot her a weird look regretting it immediately as Charm's disturbing smile widened. "And you said my glare was unsettling," she muttered through her mask, eyeing Cleave.

Cleave, clearly irritated, ran a hand through his ginger hair. 'She's never going to let that down, is she?' he thought.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you under that mask!" Charm pressed, closing the distance and putting Tsukino on edge. "Why do you wear the mask anyway? It's cool, but are you hiding something? What's wrong with your face?" Charm rambled on, reaching for the mask.

Instinctively, Tsukino grabbed Charm's wrist. "Don't."

Charm's manic grin vanished as she quickly recoiled. Cleave, meanwhile, focused on the plan one last time just as Vision's robotic voice began the countdown.

60 seconds remaining...

Thank god.

"Let's get this over with already" She spoke, moving towards the door.

30 seconds...

"Remember, one on the left as soon as we step down."

"Yeah," Tsukino replied, pulling her hood up.

20 seconds...

"We'll meet you in ten minutes," Cleave said, moving ahead of her.

10 seconds...

"Oh, this will be so much fun!" Charm chirped.

4...

3...

2...

1... blind spot detected, begin mission.

Cleave kicked the door open, revealing a dark, narrow stairwell. The bank had been closed for hours, leaving the building dimly lit by moonlight—ideal conditions for Tsukino's quirk. Well... that was until a sudden bright light from below pierced the darkness.
