Chapter 6: Speedy Save ★

Leona shot at the overblotted Idea, focusing on keeping the Thunder Spear up. "Alright last shot! Ready Leona-san?"

"I'm ready—"

"LEONAAAAAAAAAAA"

Everyone stared upwards, something was barreling at them. "WHAT THE—" Jamil scrambled to steer the chariot away from the barreling thing. It hit the overblotted Idia at record speeds pushing both Idia and Ortho back.

"What is that!?" Leona asked staring as someone threw themselves off the broom and onto the lion prince. "Leona!!! *Sob*"

"Y/n!??" Leona looked at the boy sobbing into his shirt. "What are you doing here!?"

Y/n let out an odd crying sound. "Let's leave the last shots to Vil's group." Jamil said steering them away.

"So let me get this right." Leona growled rubbing his temple, "You followed the wrong trail trying to find me, found a random man and let him guide you to a secluded spot in the middle of the ocean and told you to just drive straight into the water and you did it?"

Y/n nodded, "Where is he?" Jamil asked.

"I left him outside, I didn't know what I was walking into and he hasn't slept. We've been flying for a day and when we stopped for a rest he stood watch all night. He doesn't like to use magic so I told him to get some rest." He crossed his arms.

"You're so fucking stupid I don't even know where to start." Leona stepped forward tackling the first year in his arms.

"EH!?" Jamil stared as Leona took a deep breath.

"I don't think I've ever been so turned on in my life." Y/n blushed at the elder's words. The prince pulled back, "But you're a moron and you're not getting off scott-free. When we get back you're gonna clear out the changing rooms and clean and repair everyone's broom's and the spelldrive disks."

"Yes sir!" Y/n saluted, "You can trust me!"

After Idia was defeated y/n ran over to the 4 students on the chariot, "Epel!" He jumped into the farmer's arms.

"Y/n!?" Epel spun the Savanaclaw student around placing him back on the ground after.

"You were amazing!!!" Y/n jumped up and down, "You're driving was on point and your fighting was impeccable!!"

"L/n-kun."

Y/n whipped around, "Rosehearts-sama! Ashengrotto-sama!!" He hugged Riddle and bowed to Azul.

The octopus pulled y/n into a hug after he stood straight. "L/n I want a hug too!!"

"I apologize Ashengrotto-sama." He mumbled, wiggling out of the merman's surprisingly strong arms.

"Is Grim alriGHT!" He jumped back. "WHAT THE—" He covered his mouth, "Schoenheit-sama! I'm so so sorry..."

Leona burst into laughter, seeing y/n's face. Vil looked away, shoveling his feet. "Is Grim awake yet?"

Yuu looked at the large creature cradled in his arms, "He— he's not breathing!"

"Grim was in the Underworld far longer than the rest of us. It's not surprising he's having a harder reaction."

"May I examine him?" Upon seeing Yuu's nod, Rook walked over to the boy. "He's not breathing but he still has a pulse. Hm? What's this?" He took a closer look at the cat-like creature's mouth. "There's something lodged in his throat! Yuu turn Grim onto his stomach, make sure his head's lower than his chest." Yuu hastily followed the instructions, "Now give a good smack on the back! Don't be afraid of putting some oomph into it. Keep going until he breathes!"

Yuu followed instructions again, y/n crossed his fingers. "*Cough!* *Sputter!*" Grim gasped.

"Oh thank everythin!" Y/n placed his hand over his heart, "I'm so glad you're okay!"

"I'm sure Grim will be fine, let's get Vil back to normal." Rook went back to Vil's side.

Y/n nervously walked over to the two sobbing Ramshackle students. "H— how are you feeling Grim?"

The cat looked over his henchmen's shoulder, "You!" He jumped into the Savanaclaw's arms. "Thank you!! Consider you another one of my henchmen!"

"Sadly he's already my henchmen." Leona pulled y/n to his side, picking up Grim by the scruff of the neck and placing him back on Yuu's shoulder.

Grim crossed his arms, "Since when was he your henchmen!?"

Leona grinned down at him, "Since now."

Y/n laughed nervously, "I— I can be both your henchmen. I'm a man of many talents..." a visible bead of sweat went down y/n's cheek seeing the beast and lion still glaring at each other.

Azul chuckled from next to Riddle. "*Sigh...* l/n-kun is no-one's "Henchmen"." The Heartslabyul housewarden crossed his arms sighing.

"The STYX systems are in shambles. We're not gonna be able to treat any of you here. Sage Island has world-class medical facilities. You'd be best treated there." A voice y/n didn't recognize said. He looked over to the wall where the voice came from. He saw a man with firey-blue hair leaning against the stone wall with both his hands in his pockets.

"We have restored communication with the outside. We shall prepare a technomantic aircraft for takeoff." A professional feminine voice came from the walkie hung on the firey-haired waist.

"And, the— um... River Lethe?" The young man asked pressing the button on top of the walkie.

"We still don't have the full picture of everything from the crash reports, however Ortho-*shi seems to have deleted the River Lethe's configuration programs." Typing could be heard from the other line, "He apparently set some Chatons to termination mode and destroyed it completely— both the hard and software."

"He— he did what?" Why would Ortho do that? He didn't tell him to... but then... who did?

The worker sent a Chariot to pick the Night Raven students. "Over there!!" Y/n pointed leaning over the edge of the Chariot. Epel held onto his waist trying to drag him back into the vehicle. "Flamme-sama!!!"

Rollo looked up, backing up once the Chariot landed next to him. "There you are. I was starting to think you had forgotten about me." He teased, y/n's eyes widened.

"I would never! Not when you've got my stuff..." Rollo glared, "Kiddin! Hop on!" He pulled the student and the bag he was carrying into the Chariot.

They landed on the gym field at long last, y/n and Leona jumped off before the vehicle even touched the ground. "Home sweet home!!!" Y/n stretched.

"Child of Man..."

Rollo and y/n's relationship had leveled up!! It's now level one!!

Aye! Guess who finally finished book 6. I've been working on that damn book for fucking ever. I'm so happy to be done with it but I don't want the game to finish... so I'm very slowly making my way through the 7th book, so btw I'm not gonna do book 7 until book 7 is finished irl don't worry I got a storyline for til then! I'm so sorry about that and I'm sorry book 6 was so short we have another chapter or two then it's book ? Hope y'all are as excited as I am!!
