I was alone in my dorm, reading something. But my thoughts only drifted to the latest events.
How was I so stupid to fall for that guy? I mean, yes, he played a nice and really kind one. But I was dumb enough to believe it. And on top of it, I actually worried about him. How could I?
I thought the whole time, that I was using him to get over my trauma. And I was so afraid to break his heart. I told myself that I didn't even love him, I just used him. And I was mentally slapping myself every time I was with him.
But then I find out that he just acted? That he was only there to kill me? And somehow I still feel guilty? This shit is just getting too much.
And I don't even want to imagine what would've happened, if Mattheo wasn't there.
He saved me.
Even if it wasn't his job.
Also, he actually managed to calm me down when I started to panic. And he was surprisingly... Gentle. And soft. I never saw him like that before. He was probably high or drunk or something like that.
I still don't get it. But it's not important. I'm just relieved that he was there. And I can't thank him enough for that.
What happens if Jacob comes back though? To finish the job? I don't know. But what I know is, that Mattheo's reassurances actually worked. So if Jacob would come back...I know that I'm...safe...
I didn't want to 'read' anymore, and took my phone out.
