It was a seemingly normal day when Buck entered the station for his shift. He dumps his duffle bag into his locker and joins his team which consists of Bobby, Hen and Chimney, in the bay. The four were having a conversation when Chimney stopped just to say "That's a beautiful man."

"Where's the lie? And I like girls." Hen chimes in as everyone looks in the direction Chimney was pointing towards the locker room where there was a man standing there, pulling an LAFD shirt over his toned abdomen. Buck knows that body, but he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"That's our new probie. He likes to be called eight pack." Bobby says as they all walk towards the locker room so Bobby could introduce him to the team.

Before any introductions could be made Buck interrupts. "Eddie?" He asks incredulously, eyes wide as he sees the man in front of him. Eddie Diaz, the man he had a brief fling with right before he joined the 118.

The man looked at Buck, pressing his lips together in a tight line. "Who are you?" Eddie asks, making Buck frown. How could he have forgotten him? They had been pretty much inseparable for the few months they were together.

Shaking his head, Buck held his hand out for a handshake. "Buck." He introduces himself.

Eddie took his hand and nods, giving him a firm handshake. "Nice to meet you Buck." What kind of name was Buck, Eddie had thought. He just smiles and Buck almost cries. He missed that smile. "Wait, how did you know my name?"

"Lucky guess?" Buck shrugs. He really wanted to say, 'I know your name because I spent the better part of three months practically screaming it.' But he decided against it since the whole team was staring at their interaction.

Bobby just sighs and shakes his head. "Anyways, team this is our new recruit, Eddie Diaz. He's also going to be Buck's partner." Bobby states and Buck would be lying if he said he didn't turn around and storm off after that.

Hen immediately follows him, grabbing the man's arm and forcing him to face her. "What the hell was that, Buck?" She wasn't just asking about the tantrum, but the interaction with Eddie as well.

"It's nothing Hen." Buck says and takes a step back when she gives him an almost murderous look, she knew he was lying through his teeth. She didn't even get a chance to say anything before Buck was spilling what had happened. "The summer before I started here at the 118 I was in Texas for a bit." He started, looking around to make sure nobody else was around, that no one was listening. Hen just nods, telling him to go on. "Well I met Eddie while I was out there and we kind of had a thing?"

Hen nods once again, her hands on her hips. "Are you sure it's him? Because he didn't seem to know who you were."

Buck just frowned and shrugged his shoulders. "I'm pretty sure it's him. Same eyes that I fell in love with. I don't think I could forget those eyes."

"Fell in love?" Hen asks, eyes wide. She always knew Buck to just sleep around, to never really have feelings for anyone, except for when he met Abby. That was s till a sore subject for the man.

"Yeah. unfortunately. He doesn't remember me." He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "I guess I didn't leave as big of an impression on him as he did me."

Hen frowns and steps towards her friend, wrapping her arms around him. "I'm sorry Buck. Maybe you'll just have to get him to fall for you." She shrugs and Buck just grins at that, loving the idea. He would make Eddie Diaz fall in love with him.

Little did he know, Eddie did remember him, that he didn't need to make the man fall in love with him because he already had the summer that they met.

"I don't know Soph. I froze. I didn't think he would remember me." Eddie groans and places his head in his hands as he talked to his sister on skype. "But he does, and I acted like an idiot, pretended that I didn't know who he was, but I do. How could I not? It was kind of an unforgettable summer."

Sophia makes gagging noises on the other end. "I don't want to know details. I've already to had to hear you gush about him."

Eddie just rolls his eyes at his sister. "What do I do? I'm not even out to everyone. I can't just go and say, hey I just pretended that I forgot about your existence, but I just recently decided to come out and I'm not out to everybody."

"Yeah, maybe don't do that. I don't know what to tell you Eddie. Maybe just try to be his friend, form a bond with the guy?" She suggests.

Eddie hums and runs his fingers through his hair. "That's a good suggestion Soph. Maybe I can try to get him to fall for me, like I did for him. But he doesn't know about Chris, what if that puts him off?"

"If it puts him off then maybe you two aren't meant for each other unfortunately." Sophia states. "But why didn't you tell him about Chris? Where even was he while you were with him?"

"He was with mom and dad. They had him for that summer remember? I visited him." He shrugs. "I think it would break my heart if he didn't like the fact that I have Christopher. I think Chris would love him."

Little did the two men know they were both hatching up a plan to make the other fall for them.
