The drive back was very mild.
Chris was buzzing pretty good, from just the day, the cold, and the liquor, had huddled against the body heat Caleb always threw off in droves, and was staring out the window watching the house roll up.
"That was a lot of fun. I never thought I'd say that with you and Torin involved." He grinned up at that smile and looked his face over. "I'm glad you weren't being shy. It made me feel a little better."
Caleb just waffled a hand and looked like he was considering it, "Well, I thought to myself, Caleb, do you want to spend your day, ignoring your lover, and partner in this life, for some burgers and buddies, and then I considered it, and realized, I wasn't a fucking idiot." He beamed at that amused pleasant little crease of eyes. "Baby," He kissed his temple and just scooped him closer, "I'd always rather see you. I don't give a damn about prying eyes."
"Yeah, but..." He smoothed a hand over his chest. "I kinda thought you wouldn't want to make a scene about it is all...in front of Torrin." Those dark eyes flicked upwards, "I mean, it had to have been a little odd around him right?"
Caleb just smiled at him and looked completely nonplused. "Christian. No. I don't care." He couldn't stress this enough to this man. "If it was you and Torin dangling off the edge of a cliff? I'd kick him in the face, baby, and scoop your ass right up. If it's a choice between a night in with you and a night out with anyone else, I'd spit in their face." Chris laughed, pet him happily, and shook his head, eyes a little narrowed.
"Really? Just right into their eyes with it?"
Caleb exhaled deeply, flexed his fingers, and offered that very sexy curl of lips. "Yep. Direct shot. Just to really, you know, make it clear, that if they don't like it, they can look the other way or risk being blinded."
Chris giggled about that for a good few seconds and was grinning still when they pulled to a stop. "You're ridiculous." He was happy though, and just side-eyed him, "I love you though."
"I love you. Now, please, stop asking me if I'm crumbling under the pressure of our peer group." He waved it off. "I can only tell you a few dozen more times this year, that I'm just not in a way to give a fuck."
Chris looked at him, and gave him the most sarcastic type of feigned tragedy, "Oh my God, just a few dozen? I'm running my luck out!'
"You are. At thirty I'm tossing you to the curb." He flicked his fingers pointedly. "Face first."
Chris laughed and swung the door open with a dramatic scoff. "What a dick."
Caleb slid out after him just as Drew pulled up in the Tundra, and people began to unload from the back and the cab. Darren was pulling around the other side in the Jeep, with Pete and Pablo, and more cars were coming up the drive towards the back parking lots.
Chris paused on the bottom step, caught Caleb looking, and just smiled at him, "Go help out, babe. I'm okay alone for a minute." He waved him towards the boys, and Caleb just grinned at him, came up the step, planted one on that lush mouth, and beamed at him.
"Love you. Tell the cooks we'll do dinner around seven, alright?"
"Sure, how many?"
"Us plus Torrin. We'll be friendly, despite," he held up a finger, and eyed him up now with a frown, 'The fact you are a complete whore, and tried to seduce him right under the nose of not one, but three," He held up his pinky, ring and middle fingers then right in front of those amused dark eyes, "People you've been already fucking."
Chris bit his lower lip on a massive grin, and just backed up, slowly up the stairs with his hands up. "I would never bang Torrin, but..." He caught the door and had to laugh. "I did say the same thing about you, so there's that."
