James Potter

During the first Wizarding War two years prior, The Headmaster Albus Dumbledore devised a scheme to keep Lily and Harry safe. He suggested a potion to make me age backward rather than utilizing an aging potion to make me an old wizard. I would replace Harry after taking the potion. This would let me turn back into an innocent child. Using a polyjuice potion, Remus replaced Lily, and Sirius took my place.

When the DarkLord attacked our little house in Godric Hallow, Sirius made a portkey for me to get inside for safety. I barely understood what was happening at the time because I was only a year old. Peter was meant to watch out for us, but instead, he fled. That night, Remus and Sirius lost their lives.

The portkey blazed an opening for me and before it drew me in. Sirius then did everything within his capacity to write me a note, and with just that, I ported into another dimension. Someone then broke the port key to prevent the DarkLord from finding me.

Being one-year-old in a strange location was a little scary. I cried a lot, until a strange wizard named Ominis Gaunt discovered me next to the broken port key. That evening, we discovered that I had returned to my adult self around 8:45 PM, or 9 3/4. Ominis didn't care if I was an adult or a baby as long as I stayed close by him because he was blind. It was kind of weird; he had this friend, Sebastian Sallow, who would come by a lot and tell him to just send me back to whatever portkey I came originally from.

Sebastian rarely stays late enough to see me grow to my adult self. However on the nights that he does, he challenges me to a duel. I'm not sure if the Hogwarts that he attends is the same one that I do, because he wasn't dueling to win; he was dueling to kill.

I have read Sirius's blood-splattered note multiple times. It reads,

[Prongs, wherever there is darkness, there is light; wherever there is hatred, there is love. That is how the portkey will open. Only this person has the power to break the cycle. You ought to be deeply in love with this person already. But if they don't feel the same way back, you'll be stuck in this loop indefinitely.

P.S. Send our regards to Snivellus.]

I grimaced, assuming this was his effort at comedy before his tragic death. But I knew that wasn't the case; I'm a little concerned because the chances of Snivelly feeling the same way about me was below zero percent, this wretched portkey was the worst alternative at best.

But just before I turned three, the Portkey emitted a blue glow. Snivelly looked through it, almost as if he were looking down on me. I informed Ominus that I would be leaving that evening. He instructed me to bring a child's outfit. We said our goodbyes, and even though he was like a brother to me, I knew I didn't belong in that timeline.

Snivelly set the portkey down on the nightstand by his bed. He paced back and forth in the living room as he came out of the bedroom, wondering what his partner would think of him. He went back in the bedroom only to go to the restroom and look at himself in the mirror. Since I was a child, I hid under his bed and didn't know how to approach him other than the fact that I had a strong desire to want to be loved by him.

When Regulus Black knocked on the door, I scampered over to have a peek. Snivelly's arms encircled his neck, and despite my childlike perception, I felt betrayed. Soon after, they departed, holding hands.

It's 6:27 PM, I walked to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator, but I could hardly reach anything. And so instead I climbed up on the chair and tried to leap on top of the island table where the bread was, but my legs were too short, so I fell and landed in a split, ripping my pants.

"Owwie!!" I sobbed as I crawled to the bedroom, tore off my pants and underwear, and sobbed from all the agony, hunger, and other emotions of a sad toddler.
