Author's POV:

Naira woke up to a beautiful morning, the sun's warm rays peeking through the window. Today was the day she'd take her first step towards her dream. With a bright smile, she began her morning routine, her movements filled with purpose.

After a quick shower, she dressed in a stunning white kurti with a flowing patiala pant and blue dupatta. Her black almond eyes sparkled with anticipation, and her long thick hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall.

Naira's beauty radiated from within, her passion and determination shining through. She adorned herself with delicate jewelry, her fingers trembling with excitement. Today, she was ready to embark on a journey that would change her life forever...

Her mom was working in the kitchen when she came out of her room after getting ready and on the other hand her dadi was preparing a thali to take to the temple..

She noticed her mother and went to her to seek her blessings. After taking blessings she said to her " we're going now ma."

She went to the mandir with her dadi taking the puja thali. She worshipped in the mandir and took blessings from panditji. On returning home her dadi fed the stray dogs some biscuits. She too loved spending her time with this cute little animals. She always wanted a dog for herself as she didn't had any siblings. So she thought a dog having a dog will be so much fun. They returned home and her dadi went to her room for chanting mantras. Naira saw her mother was preparing her favourite food alu paratha.

She went to her mother and said from behind ''maa put a lot of butter in my paratha''her mother said
''I know dear,I put a lot just so that you love it''.

They sat for breakfast together. Naira started stuffing her mouth with paratha's. Her mother said
''Naira eat slowly no one is taking your paratha''. Naira replied with a smile
''No way if I don't eat fast dadi will finish it all''.
Her dadi snatched her paratha from her plate and said '' I was not planning to eat it but as you said I'll eat all of it''.
Both naira and her mother looked at her dadi and all burst out laughing.
They shared their memories, their life experiences and many more. The breakfast is so lively. But deep down the laughs and smiles there is pain in everyones heart..
.
.

It is now past 11 Naira's heart raced as she scrolled through the counseling list on her phone, her eyes scanning the names with a mix of excitement and trepidation. And then, she sawit - her name, shining like a star. She couldn't contain her joy, letting out a loud scream of triumph as she ran towards the kitchen and leapt into her mother's arms.
Tears of happiness streaming down her face, Naira's mother enveloped her in a warm, tight embrace.
"I knew you could do it, beta! I always believed in you!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with pride and emotion.
Naira felt a surge of elation, her dream of becoming a fashion designer finally within reach.

As they hugged, Naira's mother whispered, "You will be a famous fashion designer one day, Naira. I have no doubt."
Her grandmother came out of rushing from her room as she heard naira's scream. She asked '' Is everything okay? What just happened ? Are you okay?'' Naira went to her dadi and embraced her '' dadi I got selected in the university I always wanted to study''
Hearing this her dadi embraced her tightly and kissed her forehead. As tears started forming in her eyes. She touched her face gently and asker
''What my beautiful granddaughter wants to eat today i'll make it for you my dear child''. Naira thought for a moment and replied with a smile''anything my cute dadi makes''. Her dadi smiled said
''what about some kheer''. Naira gave a nod. Her dafu went to the kitchen to make kheer.
Naira's heart swelled with love and gratitude, knowing that her family's faith in her was the fuel that had propelled her to this moment.

At that moment she knew that this was just the beginning of her journey, and that the road ahead would be filled with challenges and uncertainties. But with her mother by her side, she felt ready to take on the world.
But beneath the surface, a tinge of sadness lingered. She thought about the sacrifices her parents had made for her, the unwavering support and encouragement that had driven her to succeed and for which she is so grateful.
Her father who is in coma would have been so happy seeing his daughter is finally one step closer achieving her goal.

She went to the hospital where her father was admitted. She did not take her mother along with her. Because she knew that when her mother sees her father in that condition again, she would not be able to handle herself. On top of that, she knew very well how worried her mother is about the household expenses, her father's hospital bills and everything else. She didn't want to cause any more pain to her mother..And also she didn't have the strength to bear so much pain at one time. So she went alone to meet her father.

She went to his room and sat on the chair near her fathers bed.her eyes started shedding pearls of tears, looking at her father's face she couldn't stop her tears as she hugged him and started crying. She started talking to her motionless father.
''Papa I have a very good news for you, I...I....I.....'' Her voice started trembling.
''I am going to be a fashion designer. I got selected in my dream university papa, I wish you were here with us''. Her tears of sadness began to fall like a river. As she continued
''No, I'll not cry anymore. Your daughter is strong and as today is a good day i'll sing you a song papa. You always said you love my singing so much so i'll sing for you as always''.and she starts signing _________

''Sune sune hai nazare
Sune sune hai
Hai charo aur tanhai
Leke baitha hai najane
Kounsi qarbat
Samai ne kyu moh phera hai......''

As she started singing her voice started echoing like a soft melody. Her voice was sweet like a koel singing, the world seemed to pause when naira sings. A gentle brook of sound that smoothes ones soul....

⭐⭐⭐

As the evening light filtered softly through her bedroom window, she sat on the edge of her bed, her heart heavy with thoughts of her father. His face, once so full of life and warmth, now lay still and unresponsive in a hospital bed. The doctors had said there was little hope, but she refused to believe it. Her father had always been a fighter, and she knew deep down that he would come back to her, that one day he would wake up, smile at her, and call her "princess" just like he used to.

But as much as she longed for that moment, she couldn't let herself be consumed by worry. Tomorrow was a new day, a new chapter in her life. She was about to embark on a journey she'd dreamed of for years-starting at her dream university. It was a place that represented everything she'd worked so hard for, a place where she could finally spread her wings and chase her ambitions.

As she lay back on her pillow, staring up at the ceiling, she allowed herself to imagine what the future might hold. Would she make new friends? Would she find success and happiness there? The unknowns were daunting, but they also filled her with a sense of excitement and possibility.

She whispered a promise to herself-and to her father. She would make the most of this opportunity, live fully, and strive to become the woman he always believed she could be. And when he woke up, she would have so much to tell him.

With that thought, she closed her eyes, letting hope carry her into the night, ready to face whatever tomorrow might bring.....
