NAIRA'S POV:

I'm so nervous today. I don't know how I'll perform in front of all these people. When I reached uni, the bustle made me even more anxious. I went straight to Reem and Samar, where they were waiting for me.

"Naira, you look beautiful," Reem exclaimed.

"Thank you, Reem, you look stunning too," I replied.

I glanced at Samar, but when our eyes met, he looked away. "Why is he doing this? Is he still mad at me? But I didn't do anything to upset him," I thought.

I don't understand why Samar's been acting differently lately. As I pondered this, Reem took my hand, saying, "Let's go inside the audition hall."

"Okay," I said, and we three headed toward the hall.

Upon entering, my nervousness intensified. The room was packed, and I doubted my ability to make it through. We sat at the back, as the room was already half-filled. My body shook uncontrollably.

Reem remained calm and composed, while I grew increasingly nervous. "Look, Naira, Kartik is here," Reem exclaimed excitedly. I glanced up but couldn't see Kartik's face. Disappointed, I looked down.

I was overwhelmed by anxiousness, but I needed to stay strong since Reem was performing first. I looked at her; she seemed so relaxed. She wasn't nervous at all. I envied her calmness.

The anchor, Aryan Bhaiya, announced that the first dance audition would begin, followed by singing.

"Good luck, Reem," I said, and she nodded with a bright smile.

Soon her name was announced, and she went to the green room. "Now our next contestant is Reem Shekhawat." My heart started beating fast. I didn't know why I was nervous; my eyes were fixed on the stage.

Reem came out gracefully and started dancing like a peacock. She moved elegantly. Everyone was in awe of her performance, and I felt proud.

She finished her dance with a bow and left the stage. She joined us after a few minutes.

"You were awesome, Reem," I exclaimed.

"You nailed it, girl. I wonder who fell in love with your dance," Samar said, teasing her.

"Thank you," she said and rolled her eyes at Samar. They always fought like siblings, teasing each other.

The dance competition came to an end, and they gave a break. After about 30 minutes, the singing competition started, and my body began to get more anxious and tense. I was shaking like there was an earthquake. My hands had become cold, and my mouth dried out.

Seeing me in this state, Samar held my hand and said, "Don't worry, Naira. You got this."

"You will do great; just trust yourself and have faith in yourself. We're here with you, so don't be afraid and also you are looking so beautiful today.''

I looked at his eyes and a blush formed in the cheeks hearing his last sentence. But I managed to control my shyness and I nodded.

Hearing his calm voice I found my heart calming down. I am so happy that I found these two friends who genuinely care for me, make me feel joy and laugh. Samar's thumb was moving in circles on the back of my hand to calm my racing heart. Reem also took my other hand in hers and soothed me.

I feel better hearing their words. As I was thinking about how I'm going to perform, Aryan Bhaiya announced the last two contestants' names. When I heard my name, my nervousness spiked.

I stood up and took a deep breath. I looked at Samar and Reem as they smiled at me and said, "You can do it, Naira. Go and show them." I gave a nod and went to the green room.
