The Training Grounds

The sun risen in the sky, casting long shadows over the training grounds of the Alynthi palace. Pihu, clad in a simple practice outfit, was deeply immersed in her sword training. Each swing and parry was executed with focused precision, the blade catching the sunlight with each movement.

Kanha, having heard the rhythmic clash of her sword, approached the training area with a mischievous glint in his eye. He leaned against a nearby tree, watching Pihu with a smile that hinted at his intentions.“Impressive footwork, Princess Pihu,” Kanha called out, his voice carrying a playful tone.

Pihu’s concentration wavered for a moment as she turned to see Kanha. Her cheeks flushed slightly at his unexpected presence. “Kanha, you’re here. What brings you to the training grounds?”Kanha sauntered closer, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “I couldn’t resist watching such a skilled warrior in action.

Besides, I think I might be up for a bit of practice myself.”Pihu raised an eyebrow, her expression turning competitive. “Are you challenging me to a duel? I promise I won’t go easy on you.”Kanha’s grin widened as he drew his own practice sword. “That’s exactly what I’m hoping for. Let’s see if you can keep up with me.”The two took their positions in the center of the training grounds.

Their swords clashed with a series of sharp, ringing sounds, the intensity of their duel punctuated by laughter and playful banter.Kanha moved with a fluid grace, his strikes light and teasing. “You’re quite quick with that blade,” he said, dodging a particularly swift thrust from Pihu. “But can you handle a bit more of this?”Pihu’s eyes sparkled with determination as she countered his moves. “I can handle anything you throw at me,” she replied, her tone playful yet firm.

As the duel continued, the atmosphere between them grew charged with a different kind of energy. Their movements became more synchronized, their eyes locking in shared amusement and growing affection.

The swordplay was less about competition and more about connection, their actions communicating a deeper bond.At one point, Kanha feigned a stumble, his expression a mix of mock surprise and genuine admiration. “I must admit, Pihu, you’re making this quite the challenge,” he said, his voice low and warm.Pihu’s eyes softened as she stepped closer, her movements becoming more gentle. “I’m glad to hear that,” she said, her tone tender. “It’s rare to find someone who can match me.”Kanha took advantage of the moment, gently tapping her sword aside and stepping into her personal space.

They stood inches apart, the close proximity creating a tangible tension between them. Kanha’s hand lightly brushed against Pihu’s arm as he adjusted his stance. “I think we’ve created a new kind of duel here,” he said softly, his gaze holding hers with a mix of admiration and affection.Pihu’s heart raced, her breath catching as she felt the warmth of Kanha’s presence. “Yes,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “A duel that’s more than just about skill.”
