THUNK!

An arrow hit the side of a tree with a target pinned onto it. The arrow came from a girl with long luscious hair red as blood, skin pale as snow, eyes brown as the bark of the trees, outfit green as the leaves of Sherwood Forest. The girl softened her hand on the large crossbow that shot the arrow, brought the crossbow close to her eyes where she traced a finger on a chipped inscription on the base of the crossbow

R.M.F.H.

She smiled at the inscription as she recalled the first time she was given the crossbow when she was nine years old. The girl looked at her surroundings that she grew up with a sad look before departing, leaving the arrow she shot behind.

The girl sauntered her way past the village she loved since she had her first steps in and into a stoned castle where many servants she lived with, greeted her as she walked past them all the way to a tall tower.

She opened the door and recreated the memorable times in her bedroom as she saw that most of her belongings were already packed and put outside except for the unneeded items left where they belong.

The girl walked over to her balcony that was left opened and took one long look at her kingdom she won't see in the next few months.

"Hey," A male voice interrupted her stare, and the girl turned to a boy who had matching skin tones, blonde hair gelled to his left, dressed in a similar but professional outfit to the girl. "It's time to go; JJ and Granduncle are waiting at the docks."

"Alright," The girl nodded. "I just wanted to take one last look of the kingdom. We're leaving the country for more than two months, so I thought I'd have one last moment with it."

The boy sighed and leaned against the balcony so he could face his sister. "Rosa, we're not leaving it forever, we're coming back for Christmas. The only problem is that mother and father are away on business instead of being here to say goodbye."

"Not to mention we are going to an overseas boarding school filled with too many bright colours." Rosa grumbled, making her brother chuckle. "But, at least we are going to experience what it's like in mother's school."

"Always sees the good and bad of things." Her brother remarked.

"Like you know your style but can't do a simple tie?" Rosa smirked, making her brother frown.

"Tell our new school anything but that." Her brother warned, making Rosa chuckle back. "Anything but that, okay?"

"Maybe." Rosa shrugged with fake innocence and skipped away from her brother.

"Rosa, I'm warning you. Don't even mutter a word." Her brother warned again, chasing after her.

"What?! Didn't hear that, Matty." Rosa teased as she turned her skip into a run, around the castle to the docks where a boy with dark brown messy hair stood at the docks with an older, grey-haired man. "JJ! We're ready!"

She gave JJ a quick hug before giving a longer hug to the old man.

"Granduncle, are you sure we have to leave?" Rosa asked the old man with a sad look. "I'm sure Merlin would understand that I don't want to go overseas just to learn."

Her granduncle chuckled and held Rosa's chin with his fingers. "You will learn to love Merlin Academy just like your mother, all you have to do is give it a chance."

"Like I said, the only problem is that mother and father isn't here to say goodbye." Matty added, standing beside Rosa.

"You'll understand once you're of age." Their granduncle smiled. "The best part is that I'm coming too!"

"Hey Rosa, Matty, Richard?" JJ asked from the ferry. "We're about to leave."

The late King Richard nodded and climbed onto the ferry, but Rosa stayed put with uncertainty. Matty recognised her gesture of chewing her bottom lip while fiddling with her nails as her way of wondering if what she is doing is right and gave Rosa a pat on her shoulder.

"Hey, we got this." Matty encouraged. "As long as we're together, nothing can stop us."

He showed Rosa his right palm where a small scar laid at the centre and held it out to her.

"Entreat me not to leave thee,

Or return from following after thee..."

Rosa smiled, raising her right palm where a matching scar laid at the centre and gripped onto her twin's.

(A/n: Rosa's will be italic and Matty's will be bold, both will be both italic and bold.)

"For whiter thou goest, I will go,

And where thou lodgest, I will lodge.

Thy people shall be my people

And thy God my God

Where thou diest, I will die

And there will I be buried

The Lord do so to me, and more also,

If aught but death part thee and me."

A zap of warmth coursed through the twins' veins as they feel more strength in their bodies without letting go of one another. Both of them let go of each other and headed over to the ferry hand in hand.

The ferry set sailed and Rosa already walked over to the end of the boat to watch her kingdom getting smaller in her sight, accepting her duty.

It's just four months overseas Rosa thought. What could go wrong?
