(A/n: I searched up the boat timing from UK to USA and it said 3-4 weeks unless you take a shortcut for 2 weeks so I'm just gonna stick to the facts.)

2 weeks past as the royal ferry sailed across the Atlantic Ocean. The quartet tried to entertain themselves in any way they could, but they can't really do anything in the middle of an ocean.

"I spy something blue." JJ announced, leaning against the railing, trying to make the game more fun.

Matty just groaned at the statement, banging his head on the wall. "If you say the sea or sky again, JJ, I will throw you overboard."

"Not if I throw you overboard first." JJ retorted.

"I will throw both of you overboard if none of you shut up!" Rosa interjected, stomping towards the pair with a book in her hands. "If you two knew we are going to sail across an ocean, you would've used your braincells altogether to bring one or two books like I did."

"Why do you always read these Shakespeare books?" JJ groaned, snatching the book away. "You've read the entire collection more than twenty times!"

"Well, they contain most of my favourite themes." Rosa chuckled, snatching the book away. "Tragedies, love, comedy and did I mention power? Shakespeare wrote Lady Macbeth to be more powerful than Macbeth himself and ladies weren't meant to be in power back in the Jacobean Era."

"All I hear is me copying your English homework when we get to school." JJ teased as Rosa hit his arm with the book.

"Good luck." Rosa smirked, getting closer to his face, not knowing her close presence made JJ's cheeks turn pink. "Just because you're my best friend doesn't mean you're copying all of my homework. Yet again, I don't mind dealing with your depression after I crush you in every test and exam."

JJ chuckled. "Hm, is that so? Well, you won't be able to do that if I... take you out right here!"

JJ grabbed onto Rosa waist and started tickling her with an evil laugh playing out of his mouth.

"AH! JJ, stop! No, no, no, no! S-stop!" Rosa giggled, trying to escape from her best friend's clutches.

"Hey, lovebirds! Third wheeler!" The trio stopped and turned to the Arthur who had witnessed the entire scene. "We're here!"

The trio raced to the bow of the ferry and gasped to see a humongous school in the size of a kingdom at the far distance.

"Woah! Granduncle, you said Merlin Academy was big, but I didn't realise you mean this big!" Matty chuckled but then turned to Rosa with a raised eyebrow as she slowly nodded to herself in approval. "What do you think, sis?"

"School in the size of a kingdom and so far, I see no bright colours..." Rosa shrugged. "maybe it won't be that bad."

Once the ferry reached the docks, the quartet stepped off the boat to find a carriage with two coachmen waiting for them at the entrance of the docks. They stepped into the carriage and let the carriage pass the smooth gravel road as the four peeked outside to see the beauty of the new country. The carriage entered a courtyard where many students reunited with their friends until they saw the carriage pull over.

One of the coachmen pulled the reins and handed them over the other before opening the door for JJ to step out first with Matty, resulting the girls gawking at them as JJ helped Arthur to step out of the carriage. Matty held out his hand for his sister who took his hand and stepped out with confidence as the boys craned their necks to take a look at the new girl.

Rosa's confidence immediately changed at the bright colours from the students outfits shining to her eyes and she morphed her face with a horrified look.

"Nope! No, no, no!" Rosa shook her head, turning around with her arms up in surrender. "I quit! I'm going home-MATTY LET ME GO!"

Matty quickly grabbed her by the waist and threw her over his shoulder. "Rosa, we both agreed to do this, and you are not escaping this school."

"I could've just stayed home!" Rosa squirmed, kicking her legs. "Why do I have to stay in... whatever this school is?"

"Because we got accepted and this was mother's school!" Matty grunted, ignoring his twin's whines.

"NO! Let me go! Ow!"

"Stop moving!"

"Rosalinda and Matheus Hood." The twins stopped fighting and turned their heads to see a man with a long, silver beard in a dark blue robe shimmering with constellations. "Late for school, are we?"

"Just...having a little squabble." Matty grinned before pushing Rosa off his shoulder, letting her fall on her butt. "Get off."

Rosa scoffed, brushing the dirt off her, muttering "Prick."

"Whiner."

Arthur shook his head in annoyance at his grandniece and nephew before grinning to the man in front of them. "Merlin! My old chum!"

"Arthur!" Merlin chuckled, pulling Arthur into a hug. "I don't believe these are the same twins who I taught when they were children?"

"M, I am deeply offended!" Rosa gasped, placing a hand to her heart. "I can't believe you wouldn't recognize your favourite, honourable British student."

"Didn't mother tell you to wear a dress?" Matheus objected.

"You're wearing a clip-on, don't you think I know that too, brother?" Rosa smirked as Matheus sharply inhaled and exhale as he glared at his sister.

"Still cheeky as your father, Rosa." Merlin chuckled before turning to Matheus. "Still professional like your mother, Matty." He turned to JJ and nodded. "Good to see you again, Johnathan."

The twins snorted and turned to JJ who turned pink in embarrassment. "It's JJ."

"Johnathan Junior, John Junior, JJ, whatever." Merlin laughed and led the quartet into the school. "Come along, we have a lot of catching up to do for you three."

The teenagers chuckled together and followed the elders into the school while the students continued to stare at the new students.

who are these new people? everyone thought. why are they here so late?
