Protea - TMR (Newt)

I betrayed them on a plan before lets not have that happen again

Me and Newt crouched down beside the pit that Teresa and Thomas were in surrounded by Minho and Chuck etc

Thomas was talking about what he remembered which made me nervous

"Gally was right, I betrayed all of you, I built the maze" the project, that's what they were talking about

"You were there too" he said looking at Teresa

He cleared his throat then looked up at me, damn it

"And you"

Like a knife to the chest those words entered my mind triggering the voices to start again

"It doesn't matter anymore-" Newts voice faded off as the voices got worse and louder

We spoke for a little longer then started making a plan, a plan I wasn't going to fail this time

Teresa and Thomas were tied onto poles in front of the maze doors, I recommended before we attack that we try to reason first

I still couldn't hear anything as if there were cotton in my ears, I felt Newts hand wrap around mine, I gave him a small yet forced smile as I look back at Teresa

"Offering" that was the only word I got out of this speech till the plan landed in action, I cut Teresa's rope and watched her kick a guy in the balls before standing with the others who also fought the people holding them down

Still couldn't hear anything and fidgeted with my hands as Thomas bought more guys onto our side

I spun round on my heels and looked into the maze, taking a deep breath I looked all the way to the end corridor

"Come on Iris you've been in there before it won't hurt to go in again" I mumble to myself as we begin to enter the maze while Gally walks the opposite way at least I thought he did

I ran in the middle being able to keep up with most gladers while Thomas took the front leading everyone to their safety

My vision was fading once again, shit

We stopped and Thomas looked around the corner "grievers?" Chuck asked in a whisper not wanting to speak any louder, Thomas shook his head

It's a trap was my immediate thought but decided to push it down

"Come on" Thomas nodded towards the corridor and went forward after telling Teresa, Chuck and me to go put the code in

As soon as our feet landed on the concrete to freedom grievers started entering

It also triggered more voices, not now!, my vision faded to black, damn it

Once I could see again everything with spinning, my head felt like someone hit with a brick

I looked around and saw Chuck hanging off a ledge with Teresa holding him

A griever with crawling up the wall right underneath Chuck hanging

"Shit!" I sprinted and grabbed Teresa to help bring Chuck up, as soon as we did I grabbed both there wrists and we started dashing towards the so called exit

We reached the end to find an eight digit code, Teresa scream out to Thomas who the concluded its the maze sequence, "Minho! What's the sequence to maze!"

"What!" Minho screamed back as Teresa tapped her foot impatiently

"Sequence?!" Thomas uttered as if it was obvious what he wanted
