Atonement

My hands are bound,
By the shackles of age,
My feet are bound by sins.
My tongue is here,
Untouched and unharmed,
But my palace is now in ruins.

I gathered my strength,
And tried to wail,
I could not make any noise.
What could have happened,
To my tongue unyielding,
What could have happened to my voice?

I struggle everyday,
With no words of endorsement,
I cry all alone as I stand in the rain.
For I am the sinner,
And this is my atonement
I must now, endure every pain.

For I am the sinner,And this is my atonementI must now, endure every pain
