I kick my legs up swinging higher and higher till I'm so high that I feel like I'm flying. Gravity pulls me back and I close my eyes. I love the feeling of falling, I know this is weird but I just do for some reason. I let myself fall forward as the swing falls back down and I leap off the swing and grab onto one of the rungs of the monkey bar swinging myself forward till I'm at the end. From there I swing myself forward till I land on the platform then I leap from each balance poll with the balance of a cat and it doesn't matter that I'm in a dress. My eyes are still closed but I know this course like the back of my hand. When I'm on the last balance poll I jump again and grab onto the swinging ropes. I move with each one till the end, then I climb up the rock wall and reach the end of the course. I raise my hands and mimic a cheering crowd.

I hear someone clapping, I open my and go into fight mode. I was alone and now someone is here. My fists are up in front of me and my eyes are narrowed searching for the other person. I spin in a circle till I see them they are standing in the shadows in a very creepy way. A normal person would miss them but I've been trained to spot people even in the darkest night. Not to mention that this person seems like they are trying to hide themselves. They wear a dark jacket with a hood over their head. It's shadowing their face so I can't pick out any features. I jump down from the tower and slowly approach them still leaving six feet between us when I stop.

"Who are you?"

"Relax. I promise that I'm friendly."

"Answer me." I raise my voice slightly.

"Okay," the boy steps closer, "My name is Jason King. I'm new here and I saw you near the entrance to the school. I thought that maybe I would follow you and see if you were going anywhere cool."

What the heck? That is so messed up. Why would you follow someone you don't even know and then watch them like a creep?

"I'll have you know that if you try to play any tricks on me, I will harm you."

"I got that."

"Who's your group and why aren't you with them?"

"Uh, their names are Sasha Queens, Brie Mary Scarlett, and Alexander Throne. Do you know them?"

"I know Brie and Alex. Closer to being friends with Alex than Brie. Huh, I can't believe that's your group, your name even fits in with them."

"I got that much when you called him Alex. He said that I could call him that but it seems weird."

I wonder why he didn't question me calling him one of them? I laugh and he steps closer. Leaving the shadows for the lighted area where I'm standing. He pulls down his hood. I instantly notice how his bronze skin complements his bright green eyes.

"You never told me your name."

"That is a fact." I nod my head, "Lorie Ventus."

"Hi Lorie." he smiles a crooked smile, "By the way I think it was awesome how you did that whole course in a dress."

"If you liked that then you'll also think it's cool how I did it all with my eyes closed."

He blinks, "Really?! That is impressive."

"Yup. Don't try it though, it took my years to learn."

He laughs but his laugh dies out quickly and he narrows his eyes. I know that look, someone's here. I make it all the time when I sense enemy fighters when we're training. I turn around slowly fifts raised once again. It takes me a minute but then I see them and I cross my arms.

"I said don't follow me."

"And none of us did, not right away anyway. And technically you told my cousin."
