We're waiting in line when someone taps my shoulder.
I turn to see who it is.
Me⇨ "Oh hey, Logan."
Michelle⇨ "Logan?" Michelle looks at me questioningly. 🔥👩🏼❤💋👩🏾🍕
Logan⇨ "Oh hi, yeah, I'm Logan,"
Michelle directly checks him out, liking what she saw. She smiles at him. He smiles back with his cheeks reddened a little from her being so outright.
Logan⇨ "And you are?"
Michelle⇨ "Michelle."
Logan⇨ "Nice to meet you."
Michelle⇨ "So, how do you know my Ali?"
Logan⇨ "Oh, actually, I just met her today in the gym. I wanted to meet you all and get to know you, so I introduced myself. Then I asked if I could have lunch with her today."
Michelle⇨ "OK, cool."
Logan⇨ "So you two are shifters who just started this week, right?"
Me⇨ "Yea." I use my senses to evaluate him. "And you're an enchanter?"
Logan⇨ "Yea, It's my first year at this academy. I transferred from the one in California."
Michelle⇨ "Nice."
Lunch Lady Betty⇨ "Little Belle! You look great, even with the wet hair look."
Me⇨ "Thanks, Betty! And you're rockin' that hair net and bun look!"
Lunch Lady Betty⇨ "Really? I wish there was a better look for our uniforms. What would you like for lunch?"
Me⇨ "I just came from gym class... hmmm.... 3 chicken sandwiches, 1 curly fries, and 2 cookies, please."
I collect my food and head for the table with Michelle and Logan trailing me.
We sit down, and I start munching immediately soothing my inner beast.
Logan⇨ "Holy crap! Can you really eat 3 chicken sandwiches?"
Me⇨ "Yeah? Is there something wrong with that?"
Logan⇨ "No, I think it's freaking awesome! You're just so tiny. It's funny. I know that I couldn't eat 3, maybe 2, but definitely not 3 without it making me sick. No shaming here."
Michelle⇨ "Good, because your life would be short if you mess with her and her food."
Logan⇨ "Noted." he says laughing.
Logan⇨ "Um, I know that we just met, but would you be interested in hanging out during free time, meals? Basically, whenever you're available and want to?"
Michelle and I look at each other.
MIND-LINK ACTIVATED
Me⇨ "What do you think? I personally get a good vibe from him."
Michelle⇨ "Same, and it doesn't hurt that he is yummy."
Me⇨ "I couldn't agree more. He's attractive. Worse case, we'll feed him to our brothers if we want him lost."
MIND-LINK DEACTIVATED
Me⇨ "Yeah, sure. We'd love that."
Logan⇨ "Yea? I mean. Yeah, cool." A boyish smile lights up his face.
About that time, bodies approach our table, and we look up to see who it is.
Me⇨ "It took y'all long enough to catch up." I say, smirking at them.
