Serena's POV

This whole damn wedding still doesn't feel real, so why do I feel so sad that neither of us promised to love each other in our vows. I shake my head subtly, pushing my thoughts out of my mind.

The marriage registrar clears his throat, looking towards the congregation. "If anyone, be it man or woman, girl or boy, opposes to the joining of these two, let him come forward or forever remain silent," A pin drop silence descends upon the hall as the expectant faces of guests waiting for drama, weave around the hall eagerly. "I repeat, if there is anyone, be it man or woman, girl or boy, who opposes to the joining of these two, let him come forward or forever remain silent,"

'Oh, damn it, don't tell me that someone is going to dramatically push open those doors and oppose this marriage. I mean, my life couldn't get more like a k-drama than this,' I think, amused as I ponder the direction my thoughts are going. "Nah, it's not possible," I mutter, chuckling quietly. Just then, I'm pulled and pressed to a hard surface. I look up, confused to encounter Raphael's face barely two inches away from my face. He leans closer, his hot breath fanning across my cheeks as I take in his musky scent. 'He smells like a garden on a rainy day,' I think, mesmerised by his deep voice and drunk off his scent.

"What are you muttering about under your breath? It's a waste to stress your mouth muscles. I think I can give you some ideas on what to use that lovely mouth of yours for," He whispers into my ears, my face turning bright red.

"What do you mean, Raphael," I ask, feigning innocence as I twirl my hair, batting my eyelashes.

"Do you really not know, or should I show you in detail," He replies with a smile, tracing my jawline, as his other hand discreetly trails up my thigh.

"Raphael, don't be shameless. I admit to feigning innocence, but you can't do this here. People are watching," I say, my face colouring in embarrassment, as the hall suddenly turns hot.

"Don't worry, no one can see my wanton whore wife. Don't think I don't know why you married me. I hate people like you the most. You disgust me," He snarls, as his face suddenly turns cold and hard.

Just as I'm about to set him straight, the French double doors burst open as a man strides in holding a bunch of roses.

'Seems familiar', I think as I watch him walk down the aisle.

"I oppose!" The man announces, and the collective gasp that echoes is deafening.

"Oh, you've got to kidding me! Seriously?. I really am starring in a k-drama. How can a person just stride in and interrupt a wedding. This is supposed to be banned," I mutter, fuming at everyone, including myself.

"What's wrong? Scared that someone will take your human ATM away. Don't worry, piccola tigré [little tiger], non apprezzo le persone che prendono le mie cose [I don't appreciate people taking my belongings]," He says before turning to face the intruder.

'What the hell did he say just now?' I ask myself, irritated that I didn't listen more to my Italian teacher in high school.

"Who are you?" Raphael asks the intruder, grimacing his cold mask back in place.

"I think they know the best who I am," The intruder says, pointing at my parents. My mum looks about ready to have a heart attack while my dad just looks dejected. "But I'll help them because I can see they are in shock. I am the first and only son of Mr and Mrs Diego and older brother to Serena,"

"Are you really Zayn?," I ask in shock as I look at the handsome grown man in front of me. The last time I had seen him, he was just 18, and I was just 13. Now, if I calculate clearly, he's 29. He's come a long way from that lanky teen I remember. I thought I might never see him again, and I've lived my life in regret ever since he left.

"Yes lil sis, it's me," He replies, flashing his megawatt smile that was once a lopsided grin. I'm frozen in place, even though all I want to do is run to hug him tightly.

"What do you want, Zayn? Coming back like this, is it money you want or to reclaim the company, your birthright?" Rahael asks in a mocking tone, his face now colder than ice. Zayn laughs, amused at Raphael's suggestions.

"My sister shouldn't have to deal with my incompetent parent's mistake," Zayn replies, visibly fuming at Raphael's insinuation.

"What your sister decides to do or not to do depends entirely on her. She has a choice, either to marry me or not," Raphael says, his expression turning even colder but still managing to remain calm, his expression not revealing a thing.

"You do know that she had no choice in the matter. I mean, what responsible daughter would see her family suffering and do nothing about it when she can, and Serena is the definition of responsibility," Zayn replies, fixing his poker face mask in place.

"Zayn, are you really here to keep Serena from paying for your parents' mistake, or do you just want Diego Group for yourself?" Raphael asks with a sneer.

"Do you actually think I want or need my parents' money. Do you know who I really am? In this lifetime and the next, I would never need their money. Their company is not even up to half of my net worth,"

"Enlighten us, Zayn. Who are you?"
