Yuso Ase

ARC 1 Chapter 20

- O, dear, dear, are you already up? It's still pretty early considering the time you went to sleep.

- Yeah. — after looking at Misu, he glanced at the clock hanging in the room — It's ten o'clock, so I slept for six hours. I could have slept a bit more, but it's not that  bad. 

- I forgot to ask you yesterday, did you enjoy yesterday? 

- Yeah, it was fun. It's always nice to eat well, and when you talk to people, you kind of forget about your problems. At least that's how it is for me. 

- I had a good time too, if you wanted to ask. 

- Have some mercy, I just woke up... 

- No mercy for weakness, at least not in this room. And certainly not for such a weakness as a lack of manners. - she was laughing from ear to ear

- Don't exaggerate, it's not even...

- What do you mean, don't exaggerate?- she jumped up from the bed, interrupting the boy mid-sentence- Exaggeration is the foundation of a good time. What do you want to do? The others will probably get up late, and sitting idly in the room will make us so bored that we'll turn into statues. 

- I spoke with Tanja yesterday about Uter, after we both talked with her and we could go to the nymphs to tell Uter that he can return to Patoi now.

- Oho Oho! What an excellent idea! Splendid! I'd love to go for a walk after yesterday's feast, and I'd love to see the nymphs, just wonderful.

Since the idea was positively reviewed, the two young people set off at a leisurely pace towards the great forest. The safest path to the nymphs' settlement is the one with as little walking through forest parts as possible, so they moved from the palace to the path along the forest border, and that's the one they took to their destination.

Both of them greatly enjoyed the natural scenery that surrounded them. The cool morning sun, no other people in sight, a row of trees standing in a straight line-  you could easily say it was an exceptionally romantic setting. 

- Do you think the nymph who guards the others will let us in?-  Misu suddenly thought it could be a problem. 

-I think she will. Why wouldn't she? Last time we were there, we didn't do anything wrong. Besides, even if she doesn't agree, we can ask her to pass the message to Uter.

- And what if she doesn't agree to that either?

- Did she make a bad impression on you that she'd refuse everything?

- No, I'm just speculating, and it's much more fun to speculate with someone else.

- In the end, nothing bad will happen if the message doesn't get through. It's not something of great importance. Honestly, this walk is more about us having a stroll than handling that matter.

- So, can I assume you enjoy walking with me?- she said this with a unique smile, looking joyfully at the boy's face, which was already preparing the muscles for a positive response.

They had heard loud things in their lives, but never anything like this. Completely out of nowhere, they were surrounded by the sound of a hurricane. It was so intense that they were on the verge of going deaf. Yuso's body instinctively positioned itself for battle, and he began to search for an enemy. However, instead of a foe, he saw what was causing the unbearable noise. A semi-transparent dome had formed around them. He wasn't sure what it was made of, but it looked like it was made of wind. The dome appeared to have a radius of about 50 meters and seemed impossible to exit. He quickly created his shadow from magic and sent it to check the barrier's edge. Magic isn't the same as a physical body, but when the shadow came into contact with the barrier, it met such resistance that Yuso concluded they were indeed trapped within it.
