Silverkit woke to the sound of squealing. She lifted her head, blinking her eyes open. "Great Starclan! Can't a cat get any sleep these days?" Silverkit murmered. She sat up and looked around. Next to her, Thunderheart was sound asleep. She looked behind her and saw her brothers, Sparrowkit and Adderkit play fighting. "Be quiet!" She snapped. Thunderheart lifted her head. "Go back to bed" she mewed, scooping all of her kits up. Silverkit squealed and wriggled free, settling down alone on the other side of the nursery. Luckily, she fell asleep quickly.

Silverkit woke to the Sun warming her fur. She licked her pelt to get all of the scattered moss out. Careful not to wake anyone, she snuck out of the nursery, only to bump into Puddlesplash, her father. The scent of rabbit filled her mouth, making it water. "What do you think you're doing?" Puddlesplash rasped. "I was just going to the clearing" She replied. "Well I have food so go back in" he ordered. She sighed and turned around then headed back Into the nursery. Silverkit settled down next to Thunderheart. She watched her father nudge her awake and lay the plump rabbit down. "Is that a rabbit?" Sparrowkit squealed. "Yes and it's all mine" Silverkit growled back. Without waiting for a reply She took the biggest bite of the rabbit. Silverkit savoured the heavenly taste as it filled her mouth. A quiet purr rose in her throat. Silverkit took another big bite. "Give us some!" Adderkit screeched. Silverkit felt the wind pushed out of her and she crashed to the ground. Silverkit got up and dragged the rabbit away. "Stop now! Give me that rabbit" Thunderheart mewed sternly. Sparrowkit squealed and dragged the rabbit over. Together, they ate the rabbit. Suddenly, Puddlesplash stuck his head in through the nursery entrance. "Come on kits, let Thunderheart sleep" Puddlesplash mewed. "Ok" Silverkit replied, as she bolted out of the nursery. Just before silverkit got outside, a firm pair of teeth grabbed her scruff. "Hey!" She squealed. Silverkit wriggled free and bolted around the camp. As she padded past the medicine den, a familiar voice rasped"Good morning Silverkit". "Good morning Honeyleaf" She replied politely. Silverkit padded away, excitement making her pelt prickle. Sparrowkit bowled into Silverkits back and pinned her down down. Silverkit raked his belly, claws sheathed. She scrambled up, her hackles raised and her back arched, hissing. "Silverkit" the stern mew of Shrewflight made her jump. She immediately turned around. Silverkit felt her ears burn with embarrassment. "What is happening here?" Shrewflight questioned. "N-nothing Shrewflight!" Silverkit stammered. "Well don't do this again, your 6 moons now!" He snapped. "Y-yes Shrewflight!" Silverkit replied. Just then, Otterstar's rough mew rang around the camp, "All cats old enough to tun across the Moor gather here beneath the Tallrock."
Thunderheart bundled Silverkit, Adderkit, Sparrowkit and Ferretkit into the nursery and began to smooth their pelts. Ferretkit squealed but couldn't get away. "Now let's go" Thunderheart ordered, nudging all four of her kits into the clearing to sit down......
