"Frogpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" Otterstar began the warrior ceremony. "I do" Frogpaw replied, holding his head and tail high. "Then by the power of Starclan I give you your warrior name. Frogpaw from this day on, you will be known as Frogleap" Otterstar says. "Frogleap! Frogleap!" The whole clan cheers. "Winterpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" Otterstar questions. "I do" Winterpaw mewed, looking up at the wise leader. "Then by the power of Starclan I give you your warrior name. Winterpaw from this day on, you will be known as Winterfrost" Otterstar continues. "Winterfrost! Winterfrost!" The clan chanted. "Winterfrost! Winterfrost!" Silverkit joined in. "Moonpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" Otterstar asked the blind Tom. "I do" Moonpaw snapped. "Then by the power of starclan I give you your warrior name. Moonpaw, from now on you will be known as Moonstripe" Otterstar declared. The whole clan cheered once again. "And finally, Thistlepaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" Otterstar asked. "I do" Thistlepaw replied. "Then by the power of Starclan I give you your warrior name. Thistlepaw from now on you will be known as Thistlebush" Otterstar announced. "Thistlebush! Thistlebush!" Everyone cheered. Silverkits paws tingled with excitement. This would be her soon! "We have four more ceremonies left" Otterstar continued. "Silverkit, Ferretkit, Adderkit and Sparrowkit" Otterstar summoned them. Silverkit stepped forward, excitement tingling her pelt as her siblings pelts brushed hers. "You have all reached the age of 6 moons and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Adderpaw, Silverpaw, Sparrowpaw and Ferretpaw. Sparrowpaw, your mentor will be Starlingspirit, Ferretpaw your mentor will be Frostflower, Adderpaw, your mentor will be Dapplefeather and Silverpaw your mentor will be Bluemoon" Otterstar finished. "Silverpaw! Adderpaw! Ferretpaw! Sparrowpaw!" The clan welcomed the new apprentices. "Meeting dismissed" Otterstar mewed, leaping down from the rock. Silverpaw stood up and was going to pad away but Bluemoon came over to her. "We start training Tomorrow at sunup" Blumoon informed Silverpaw. "Yes Bluemoon" Silverpaw replied and dipped her head respectfully before padding away.

It was Sunup the next morning and Silverpaw's paws were itching to be out in the forest. Silverpaw got up and stretched her stiff legs. Silverpaw yawned and sat down, grooming herself. I wonder what Ferretpaw, Adderpaw and Sparrowpaw are learning Silverpaw thought. "Are you an Apprentice or elder?" Bluemoon asked, snapping Silverpaw out of her thoughts. "What? Oh training!" Silverpaw meowed. Silverpaw scrambled out of the apprentices den and followed Bluemoon out of the camp. The feeling of fresh undergrowth under Silverpaws paws made her want to run through the forest forever. The smells of prey flooded over Silverpaw. Bluemoon was leading her to the training hollow. The two She-cats padded into the clearing. "Attack me, claws sheathed" Bluemoon instructed. Silverpaw dropped into a low crouch and stalked forward slowly. She launched herself into the air and slashed at Bluemoon, claws sheathed, then landed on her back and rested her teeth on her throat. Bluemoon rolled onto her back and pinned Silverpaw to the ground, resting a paw on her throat. Silverpaw laid motionless and when Bluemoon let go she pounced. "Good job" Bluemoon panted. Worn out, they headed back to camp. By the time they arrived, it was already sundown. "Get some rest" Bluemoon ordered. Silverpaw padded into the apprentices den to see Adderpaw, Ferretpaw and Sparrowpaw asleep. She curled up next to Ferretpaw and closed her eyes, letting sleep take over.....
