Once upon a time, far away in the magical land of Smiledonia, there were two kingdoms.

The kingdom of light, also known as Solaris, Was ruled by the king and queen and their son, prince Dogday.
For his entire life, the young prince was one of the most beloved people in the kingdom. He spent most of his childhood playing with the other children in the village, who he remained friends with.

His best friend of all was a young lad named catnap.

Catnap wasn't like most of the other children, he was shy and mostly kept to himself. But that just made the young prince admire him even more.

They had first met when dogday noticed that the kitten had gotten stuck in a tree, and some bullies had been pelting rotten apples at him.

Dogday of course had growled and barked to scare them away, and immediately climbed up the tree to help the kitten down.

Catnap had thanked him very nervously, and Dogday was happy to comfort him until he felt better, which endeared him to catnap.
He was late for dinner, which caused his parents to be angry, but he didn't care. He had helped someone in need, and that was all that mattered.

The day after that, when he was walking through the village, Catnap had cautiously approached him, and asked him to play. Dogday of course said yes, and, over the next few weeks of playing, talking, and dancing together, the two had become the best of friends.

As the years passed, their friendship grew deeper, and their bond grew to be unbreakable.

When he was about 14, Catnap had began working at the palace as a cleaner, and moved up the ranks until he became Dogday's personal servant(Not like that.), which strengthened their friendship.

Eventually, their friendship even turned into something more.

On dogday's 18th birthday, Catnap had very nervously asked him to meet him out in the royal gardens.

Once he got a break from the royal birthday party, which included lots of gifts, dancing and cake, he did just that, sitting with Catnap on the tree swing at the end of the pathway.

Catnap had then confessed his love to the prince in tears, scared he'd be punished for even thinking of loving Dogday. But to his surprise, the prince had thrown his arms around him in a loving embrace, and confessed that his feelings were mutual.

Catnap had then cried tears of happiness rather than fear, and the two kissed for the first time, passion and joy swirling inside their hearts.

Dogday was happier than he had ever been, to finally have the one he truly loved in his arms and lips at last.

Unfortunately, also on his 18th birthday, the young prince was arranged to marry the princess of the other kingdom, the dark forest kingdom of Sickledon.

The princess of the kingdom, Ulrike, was selfish and vain, and never put the kingdom's needs before her own.

Obviously, this made dogday distraught. But there was nothing he could do, the forms had already been signed and the wedding was to take place in a few days.

That night, Dogday cried himself to sleep.

The next day, as he walked around the castle, his mood soured even more.
Every single staff member was busy making wedding plans, decorating the main hall, making food for the wedding, etc etc.

Well, every single one except for Catnap, who was in his room, busy making a plan of his own.

That very same evening, dogday was sulking in his room, crying over a photograph of him and catnap when they were young.
