Flashback

I sat there watching my father. I call him that because he's my real dad, not my stepdad. I watch as he nears the other side of the lake, while me and my best friend Brittany just sit, I dont want to fish yet so my dad told her to watch me.

I don't know why because she's only a year older than me. I get bored of sitting, so I go to the neighbours swing set, sit down and slowly start to swing. The neighbours don't get mad, the lady is nice and she loves me. Then, all of a sudden, I feel like fishing.

After ten minutes of fishing unsucessfully, I give up.

"Hey Britt?" My tiny six year old voice asks.

"Yeah?"

"Promise me something?"

"Anything."

"Promise me that we will ALWAYS be sisters, even if I move?"

"I promise! Forever and always."

"Hey Britt?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

"I love you too. Now you better start running before I tickle you!"

END OF FLASHBACK

Wow... I didn't know I could remember that. What's bad is that we don't talk anymore. I moved here to London and we lost touch. I didn't know I was crying till I felt the tear hit my leg.

It has been ten years since that happened and one year since I've moved. I used to not be able to last a week without talking to her, how have I survived a year?

I decide to call her. I dial the number, that I still know, and press send. I can't believe that so much could have happened and i wouldn't know... 

"Hello?" A kind voice says. samantha, her sister, still answers her phone 

"Umm. Hi, is Brittany there?" I ask, slightly nervous. What if she doesn't want to talk to me? What if she hates me now?

"No. Who's calling?"

"SAMANTHA! GIVE ME MY DANG PHONE!!" i heard britt yell in the background, nicee 

"Hello?" There's my best friend/sister.

"Hey, Britt?"

"Who's th- OH. MY. GOSH. London?" She was so shocked, It's been ten years? 

"Yup! Hey babes!" By this point I'm crying, I miss her so much.

"Oh my gosh. London?!"

"Britt its me chill!! PLEASE!"

"Okay, I'm chilled. I'm just so shocked, I've missed you so much!"

"I miss you too."

"London, are you crying?"

"Yeah, I'm just remembering old times." i was, the bonfires and staring up at the starry sky, being chased by dogs until we couldn't breathe..
