"What the hell

"What the hell...?" Lyn moaned as she pushed herself up on the couch. She bolted upright at the sight of a vampire leaning closer to her sister, fangs out and everything. He smiled a bit when he saw that she was awake too.

"Trevor! Control yourself." A woman ordered. Lyn turned her head to see a short-haired brunette with an intense gaze that was pinning the vampire –Trevor– down. He looked from the twins to the woman and reluctantly pushed up from the couch and away from them.

"Buzzkill." He told his friend, making his way out of the room.

"What do you want with us?" Elena said weakly. Lyn said nothing, preferring to get a read on the situation before she said or did anything rash. Granted, she never had been good at not insulting people more powerful than her.

"My god, you both look just like her." The woman said in awe.

"But we're not. Please, whatever you–" Elena had begun to plead but was quickly cut off by their captor.

"Be quiet!" She snapped.

"But, we're not Katherine." Elena rose from where she was lying down to look the brunette in the eyes. "My name is Elena Gilbert, and this is my twin, Emalyn. You don't have to do this."

"I know who you are. I said, "Be quiet."

"What do you want?" The unnamed woman lost her patience at that and slapped Elena hard. She was flung back onto the couch and rendered unconscious. Lyn gasped audibly but made no other noise.

"I want you to be quiet." She gave Elena a cold look to go along with her words. She turned and gave Lyn a calculating look, to which Lyn just stared back at her, not looking away but not speaking out either.

Lyn waited quietly by her sister, unsure of what to do. Not that she really had any options, they were trapped here with vampire's that would hear any escape attempt. She also got the impression that her training with Ric wasn't going to do her much good; she was still weak from the events of the masquerade and their captors could clearly handle themselves.

"How are the girls?" She heard the woman ask.

"One is still passed out. The other one is giving me the devil's eye but saying nothing." Trevor explained.

"You didn't touch them, did you?" Elena began to stir and looked at her sister quizzically. Lyn tapped her ear and pointed to the room where the vampires were talking; Elena nodded.

"Give me some credit." He defended. "So, you called him."

"No, I called one of his contacts. You know how this works." Elena pushed herself up on the couch to listen better. She motioned for Lyn to follow and despite her better instincts, she did. They peered around the corner to see the two pacing as they were talking in urgent tones.

"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?"

"They say he got it." The woman told him.

"Wonderful and what?"
