Triggers in detail;
Sexual Scenes:
There won't be any BDSM, but it will not be Vanilla either. Jameson is a very difficult person to read and depending on when the scenes are happening and how he's feeling, the scenes might be more tense or rough. He's your typical man, don't know how he's feeling ever unless it's an outburst of some sort. There may be degrading names slung around or praises, again, depends on how he's doing. I say strictly consensual because I do NOT fuck with rape scenes. I will NOT write them.
Swearing:
This one's self explanatory. Though because it takes place in the south, in Georgia, there will be repercussions for swearing in the presence of a woman.
Class Shaming and Negative Biases:
Casey is from a rich upbringing from upstate New York coming to a small town in the south to a “poorer” family. It will be going both ways, even if accidental. Casey doesn't know better. The other townspeople however, will be doing it just because. There will be themes of a younger hand calling Casey a pedophile because he doesn't like how Casey gets close to Jameson's daughter. It will not last long.
Violence:
It's a bunch of men with like 2 women on the property, macho egos. There's gonna be fighting.
Strained Relationships:
Jameson and his daughter have a strained relationship from his ex wife leaving and implanting little lies into the daughter's head and Jameson always working. Casey will eventually help mend that.
Talk of Relationship Trauma:
This book has representation of male abuse victims. If you as a person think that women are incapable of abuse, even in a verbal or mental sense, this book is not for you and you should find another page to follow /srs. Jameson has gone through a lot of verbal abuse from his ex wife that has affected him greatly. Casey is also a victim of domestic abuse from past boyfriend's belittling him and had been hit before.
Age Gap:
Jameson has a 16 year old daughter and had her at 23. This makes Jameson 39. Casey is 25. This gives them a 14 year age difference. If you don't like it I'd recommend you find another book /lh.
