It was the day of the Provisional Hero License Exam, and all of Class 1-A had just gotten off of the bus. For the majority of the ride to the stadium, Yukiko was listening to Kirishima and Kaminari laugh about a student in Class 1-B and how annoying he is. She hadn't met anyone from the rivaling U.A. class, but she had already heard stories from the Class 1-A students. Momo actually told her that she was lucky to haven't have met them yet, which sort of disappointed her. They sounded like an interesting group of people, but the way they described one of the students just made her nervous.
"I'm getting so nervous. What do you think we're even gonna have to do? Oh man, I wonder if I can get a license." Mineta stuttered out.
"Mineta, it's not 'I wonder'. Go and get your license." Aizawa sighed as he bent forward slightly to look down at the student.
"Oh, right! Definitely!" Mineta screeched while sweating bullets.
"If you are all able to pass this exam and get your provisional licenses, then you are no longer eggs, but chicklings. Incubated to become Semi-Pros. So, do your best." Aizawa stated while looking at the group of students.
"All right! Let's all become chicklings! Everybody gather 'round, Ready!? Plus Ultra!" Kirishima grinned.
Suddenly, from behind Kirishima, a tall student from another school shouted 'ultra' which startled the majority of the U.A. students. Yukiko stared, dumbfounded, at the taller male as she wondered where he had come from. But, it was obvious that the majority of her classmates were thinking the same as her.
"Inasa, it's not good to randomly put yourself in other people's huddles." A shorter boy chastised.
"Damn it! Please accept my humblest apologies!" The boy screamed as he slammed his head into the concrete.
"What the hell? Who is this guy, and why is he so pumped up?" Kaminari questioned as he stared at the boy.
"I just wanted to try saying it at least once! Plus Ultra! It's to my utmost honor to be competing with you all from U.A.!" Inasa shouted.
"Uhm, you're bleeding." Yukiko pointed out awkwardly as the boy lifted his head from the ground.
"Don't worry about him. He'll be fine." The shorter boy quickly waved.
From there, one of Inasa's classmates led him away, but Yukiko couldn't help but watch him as he laughed with his friends. She was so zoned out that she had completely missed her father's explanation of the student, as well as the introduction of another school. Although, she was knocked out of her thoughts when a woman suddenly jumped in front of her and put her hands on the girl's shoulders.
"I don't remember seeing you at the Sports Festival! Who are you? Are you a transfer student? What's your quirk?" The woman asked as she pushed her face closer to Yukiko's.
"Uh, you're a little too close." Yukiko grimaced as she tried to take a step back.
"Ms. Joke, I would appreciate if you took your hands off of my daughter." Aizawa's eyebrow twitched as he watched the woman practically manhandle his little girl.
"Your daughter! When did you get married and have a kid!? Wait, if she's a first year..." Ms. Joke start mumbling to herself.
"Go get changed." Aizawa directed towards his class.
"Yes, sir!" They cheered and Momo took Yukiko's hand to lead her off.
Glancing back at her father, she noticed that he was still communicating with Ms. Joke. Slight confusion was written on her face as she noticed his stale expression as the woman continued to talk. Reverting her gaze back in front of her, Yukiko followed the U.A. students into their locker room and started to change into her hero costume. Zipping up the jumpsuit, she reached for her belt and shoes. The others were talking amongst themselves, but she couldn't work out the nerves that were eating away at her. Of course, when they entered the large room where the exam would begin, she nearly froze in the doorway when she saw the sheer amount of students.
