Settling InThe morning had passed in a blur of introductions and awkward small talk. By the time Marceline settled at her new desk, she felt a mix of relief and exhaustion. The reality of being in a new place, surrounded by unfamiliar faces, had started to sink in. Her desk, though neat and empty now, felt like a small island in a sea of chaos. The camera crew was still around, capturing every little moment, making her hyper-aware of her actions.
Marceline opened her email, scrolling through the welcome messages and the usual corporate spam. She was trying to absorb everything when she noticed Jim walking over with a mug in hand.
"Coffee?" he offered, holding it out to her. The camera shifted slightly to catch the interaction, focusing on Jim's easy smile.
Marceline accepted the mug with a grateful nod. "Thanks. I could use it."
Jim leaned casually against her desk. "How's your first day going so far?"
"Overwhelming," she admitted, glancing briefly at the camera before returning her attention to Jim. "But I think I'm starting to get a handle on things."
"That's a good sign," Jim said with a reassuring grin. "It's a lot to take in, but you'll get used to it. Just remember, if you need a break from the chaos, the break room is a good place to hide out."
Marceline laughed softly, appreciating the advice. "I'll keep that in mind."
Jim nodded and was about to say something else when Dwight suddenly appeared at the edge of Marceline's desk, his expression serious as ever.
"Jim, you're distracting the new salesperson," Dwight said, his tone almost scolding. He glanced at Marceline. "You need to stay focused, Marceline. This is a fast-paced environment."
Jim rolled his eyes slightly, but there was a hint of amusement in his voice when he responded. "Dwight, it's her first day. I think she's allowed a little leeway."
Dwight narrowed his eyes. "There's no room for leeway in sales, Jim. Discipline is key."

[Interview with Dwight]
The camera captures Dwight in the conference room, sitting up straight, looking stern.
Dwight: "Marceline seems competent, but she needs to understand that this job isn't just about making friends. It's about being the best. If she wants to succeed here, she'll have to step up her game. I'm willing to train her if necessary, though I doubt she could handle the Schrute method."

Marceline watched the exchange between Jim and Dwight, unsure if she should intervene. She didn't want to start her first day by stepping on anyone's toes, but the tension between the two was palpable. The camera captured her slight hesitation before Jim turned back to her, his expression lightening.
"Don't worry about Dwight," Jim said with a dismissive wave of his hand. "He takes everything very seriously."
"I can see that," Marceline replied, her tone neutral as she glanced at Dwight, who was still standing there, arms crossed.
Dwight finally seemed satisfied that his point had been made and nodded curtly. "I'll be monitoring your progress, Marceline. Welcome to Dunder Mifflin." With that, he turned and marched back to his desk, leaving Marceline and Jim in his wake.
