Little did Sebastian know, Victoria had been standing just outside, listening to every whispered word. Her chest heaved with fury, her face pale with a mixture of disbelief and rage. She had heard enough. With a determined stride, she made her way to their bedroom, her mind racing with thoughts of betrayal and revenge.

As Sebastian entered the room, he was met with the icy glare of his wife. Before he could utter a word, Victoria's voice sliced through the air like a knife.

"Have you lost your mind?" she hissed, her eyes narrowing into dangerous slits. "Why would you take her seriously? I thought she was just a vessel for us, a means to an end!"

Sebastian paused, his mind scrambling for a response. He walked over to Victoria, trying to defuse the tension. His hands gently rested on her shoulders, his lips pressing soft kisses against her skin, coaxing her with the tenderness she was accustomed to. "Look," he began in a soothing tone, "you, our status, and our perfect prince, Josh, with his blonde hair and blue eyes... what are you worried about?"

Victoria pulled away slightly, her anger still simmering but beginning to yield to Sebastian's touch. "You think I'm going to just sit by while you make plans with that... that woman?" she spat out, her voice quivering with suppressed rage.

Sebastian sighed, knowing that he needed to carefully navigate this conversation. "Victoria," he said softly, "I was only toying with her. Mailee means nothing to me beyond what she can provide for us. But listen to me—this could work to our advantage."

Victoria's eyes flashed with suspicion. "What advantage? And what exactly are you planning, Sebastian?"

Sebastian leaned closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. "I've been thinking... If we have more children with Mailee, we could register them under your name as their biological mother. It would strengthen our family's legacy. A princess, maybe—one who can carry on our name."

Victoria's expression hardened, and her lips curled into a sneer. "Why not just let her be our surrogate again, then? Why bother with these convoluted plans?"

Sebastian shook his head, choosing his words carefully. "We can't choose the gender, Victoria. What if she gives us a son? A son born of Mailee would never threaten Josh's position in the line of inheritance. But a daughter or daughters... could serve our purpose without challenging Josh's future."

Victoria was silent for a moment, her mind processing the implications of his words. Her anger simmered just below the surface, but she was intrigued by the prospect. Daughters were good for marriage alliance. "And Mailee? What about her? You're making it sound like she's going to stick around forever. I won't allow it."

Sebastian tightened his grip on her shoulders, his voice dropping to a whisper. "Mailee is nothing but a plaything, Victoria. Once she gives us the girls and they weaned, I'll get rid of her. I promise you, she'll be out of our lives for good. This time, she won't stay a moment longer than necessary."

He watched as Victoria's expression shifted from rage to something darker—a glint of satisfaction sparking in her eyes. She liked the idea of control, of knowing that Mailee's fate rested in their hands, and more specifically, in hers. A wild thought struck her, one that brought a twisted smile to her lips.

"Fine," she said, her voice now calm but laced with venom.  Victoria thought to herself "But while you're away, Mailee will be under my control. I'll make sure she knows her place, that she understands just how disposable she really is."

Sebastian smiled a cold, calculated smile that mirrored Victoria's. "Of course, darling. She's yours to manage while I'm not here. Just remember, girls in our world are good for marriage alliances, what's more, better if they aren't yours isn't it? she's a means to an end. Once she's served her purpose, you can do with her as you wish." He kissed and caressed her, his touch gentle yet possessive, as he sought to reassure her with every stroke of his hand.

Victoria's heart beat faster, the thrill of power surging through her veins. She could already envision it—Mailee, fragile and fearful, completely under her thumb. And if Sebastian thought he could keep her at bay with sweet words and empty promises, he was sorely mistaken. She would make sure Mailee understood her place, one way or another.

As the night drew on, Sebastian continued to assure Victoria of Mailee's insignificance. He painted a picture of Mailee as nothing more than a temporary distraction, someone to be used and discarded at will. His hands slid down Victoria's back, his touch firm and possessive. "You're the one I love, the one who shares my life, my name, my future. Mailee is just a tool, a vessel, and once she's given us what we need, she'll be gone."

Victoria's anger finally began to dissipate, replaced by a cold, calculating resolve. She would play along, but only as long as it suited her. As Sebastian kissed her shoulder and whispered sweet reassurances, her mind was already at work, planning how she would exert her control over Mailee, how she would ensure that the woman knew just how powerless she truly was.

Sebastian had no idea what he had set in motion. He had managed to calm his wife, but in doing so, he had unleashed something far more dangerous—a woman who would stop at nothing to maintain her power and protect her position. And as Victoria lay in his arms that night, her thoughts were not of love or passion, but of the twisted game she was about to play, a game where Mailee was the pawn and she, the queen.
