Sebastian spent the last days of Victoria and Josh's absence ensuring Mailee that their plan was flawless. He knew the stakes were high, but he was confident that everything would fall into place. As the two weeks drew to a close, he brought Mailee back to the doctor to check the results of their efforts.

The doctor examined Mailee carefully, using the ultrasound machine to monitor her progress. The room was silent, save for the soft hum of the equipment, as Sebastian and Mailee held their breath. Then, the doctor smiled, his eyes meeting Sebastian's with a look of satisfaction.

"Congratulations," the doctor announced, turning the screen towards them. "The implantation was successful, and not just with one embryo, but two. You're expecting twins."

Sebastian's heart swelled with triumph. He turned to Mailee, a broad smile on his face as he rubbed her belly gently. "Now, all we need to do is put on a show for Victoria when she comes home tomorrow. I know it's unbearable, but you have to play along to ensure our babies are safe, and that they come to term. You wouldn't want her to find out now, would you?"

Mailee nodded, her heart pounding with a mix of anxiety and hope. She felt reassured by Sebastian's words, her hopes pinned high once again. He had always managed to make her believe in the future they were building together, even if it was a possibility that it was steeped in deception.

After the appointment, Sebastian dropped Mailee off at home before heading back to work. As he drove, he picked up the phone and called Victoria.

"The deed is done," he said, his voice calm and measured. "It's successful, and all you need to do is just play along and let things unfold. After we confirm the gender, we can have as many children as we want, Victoria, whenever you're ready. I love you and our son. It's merely business with her."

On the other end of the line, Victoria listened, her mind already whirring with thoughts of revenge. "I understand," she replied, her voice steady despite the anger simmering beneath the surface. She knew Sebastian's words were meant to reassure her, but all she could think about was the time she would have alone with Mailee once Sebastian left for work. There would be plenty of opportunities to make her pay.

The next day, Victoria and Josh returned home. Sebastian greeted them with open arms, his public display of affection genuine and warm. He scooped Josh up into his arms, kissing his forehead as he smiled at Victoria. "Let's go see if you're becoming a big brother tomorrow," he said playfully, his voice loud enough for Mailee to hear from across the room.

The following morning, they all made their way to the clinic, where the doctor was ready to confirm the results. Sebastian stood by Mailee's side as the doctor conducted the examination, the tension in the room palpable.

"Everything looks perfect," the doctor announced, his voice filled with professional satisfaction. "Not only was the implantation successful, but both embryos have attached. You're carrying twins, Mailee."

Victoria's expression barely faltered as she forced a smile, but inside, she was seething. Her skin prickled with anger at the thought of Sebastian's hands all over Mailee, the image of him fucking her hard to impregnate her searing into her mind. The fact that she had to put up with Mailee for another pregnancy term, knowing the betrayal that had taken place, made her blood boil.

But Victoria, ever the master of disguise, managed to keep her composure. She perked up slightly at the doctor's next piece of information. "The full-term gestation period for twins is typically shorter than that of a single child," the doctor explained. "We estimate that Mailee's due date will be around seven and a half months from now, give or take a few weeks."

Victoria's mind raced as she processed this. It gave her a timeline, a period within which she could plan her next moves. For now, she would play the role of the concerned, grateful wife. She turned to Mailee, her voice syrupy sweet as she said, "Thank you so much, Mailee, for your hard work. Carrying twins is no small feat, and we're so grateful to you for surrogating for us again."

Behind closed doors that evening, however, the mask fell away. Victoria flared up the moment they were alone, her voice cutting through the air like a knife. "What if they're two boys? What then, Sebastian? I'll be damned if I let some bastard sons take anything away from Josh!"

Sebastian remained calm, moving closer to her. "I'm confident she's carrying girls," he reassured her. "But if it does come to that, I'll take care of it. You know only you, Victoria, can carry my sons."

His words, though meant to soothe, only inflamed Victoria's anger further. But before she could respond, he pulled her into his arms, planting a kiss on her lips. "You're the only one who matters," he murmured against her skin. "You and our son. This is all just a means to an end, nothing more."

Victoria wanted to resist, to hold onto her anger, but Sebastian's touch was persuasive. He trailed kisses down her neck, his hands sliding over her curves with a possessiveness that made her shiver. Slowly, her resolve began to crumble, her body responding to his familiar touch.

Sebastian knew how to play her, how to manipulate her emotions, and tonight was no different. He undressed her with deliberate care, his hands worshipping her body as he laid her down on the bed. Victoria's breath hitched as he kissed her deeply, his hands moving with ease to bring her pleasure.

Their lovemaking was intense, driven by the need to reconnect, to reestablish the bond between them. Sebastian moved over her with a slow, deliberate pace, his thrusts deep and measured. Victoria clung to him, as they moved together, their bodies finding the rhythm they knew so well.

As the night wore on, their passion only grew, their movements more frantic, more desperate. Sebastian's hands roamed over her body, his lips finding every sensitive spot, driving her closer and closer to the edge. When they finally reached their climax, it was explosive, a release of all the tension that had built up between them.

Afterwards, Sebastian held Victoria close, his hand resting on her belly in a gesture that was both possessive and protective. "I love you," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "And I promise, everything will be exactly as it should be."

Victoria said nothing, her mind still racing, but she allowed herself to relax in his arms. For now, she would let him believe he was in control. But in the quiet of the night, as Sebastian drifted off to sleep beside her, Victoria's thoughts turned once more to Mailee. "This wasn't over—not by a long shot. And when the time came, I would be ready to take back what was mine, no matter what".
