As Mailee's pregnancy progressed, exhaustion became her constant companion. Despite the weariness that often overtook her, sending her into deep, dreamless sleep early each night, Victoria insisted that she continue nursing Josh. It wasn't just about feeding him, Mailee knew; it was about maintaining control. Victoria's demands were relentless, and Mailee, with her growing belly and heavy limbs, complied without protest, too tired to resist.

But while Mailee's body grew weary, Sebastian's desire for her only intensified. He still found solace in her body, taking pleasure in her warmth and the intimacy they shared. His hands would roam over her ever-expanding belly, a mixture of awe and lust in his eyes as he marvelled at the life growing within her. Even though she was pregnant and often exhausted, Mailee was still his haven, a place where he could lose himself.

At twelve weeks, Mailee's bump was unmistakably bigger, a testament to the twins she was carrying. The truth of their genders would soon be revealed, a moment that filled the household with a mixture of anticipation and tension. The day of the appointment arrived, and they all went to the clinic together—Sebastian, Victoria, Josh, and Mailee.

The doctor performed the ultrasound, the cool gel on Mailee's belly a stark contrast to the heat that seemed to radiate from her skin. As the images flickered on the screen, the doctor's expression softened into a smile.

"Congratulations," the doctor said, turning the monitor so they could all see. "You're having girls—both of them. They're developing well, but carrying twins is hard on the body, especially at this stage. Mailee, you'll need to rest as much as possible and stay hydrated. The toll on your body will only increase as they grow."

Victoria's lips curved into a tight smile, her eyes cold as she watched the screen. The news was exactly what she wanted to hear, but the look in her eyes told Mailee that this was just the beginning of her torment. Sebastian, on the other hand, was ecstatic. He took Mailee's hand in his, his excitement barely contained as he rubbed her belly.

"Girls," he whispered, his voice full of wonder. "Our little princesses."

That night, Sebastian took the opportunity to celebrate. His passion for Mailee only grew with the news of the twins. As soon as Victoria and Josh had fallen asleep, he went into her bedroom, his hands roaming over her swollen belly with reverence. "You're so beautiful," he murmured, his lips brushing against her ear as he slid into her bed. "I can't wait to meet our daughters."

Sebastian's lovemaking that night was intense, fueled by the knowledge that Mailee was carrying his daughters. He was gentle but firm, his hands cradling her belly as he moved inside her. The sensation of her pregnant body beneath him, the life growing within her, only heightened his desire. He kissed her deeply, his movements slow and deliberate, making sure she felt every inch of his love and possession.

Mailee moaned softly as Sebastian's pace quickened, her body responding to his touch despite her exhaustion. He whispered praises against her skin, his hands caressing the curves of her hips, her swollen breasts, her full belly. As he drove deeper into her, she clung to him, her hands gripping his shoulders as they both found release.

Afterwards, as they lay together, Sebastian's hand rested on her belly, tracing the outline of their growing children. "You're perfect," he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "These girls are perfect."

But even as they continued their days as if nothing had changed, Mailee's belly continued to grow, and so did Victoria's plans. The shadow of fear loomed over Mailee, who could sense that Victoria was biding her time, waiting for the right moment to strike.

As Mailee entered her 30th week, her belly was enormous, and her body struggling under the weight of the twins. It was then that Sebastian announced he had to go on a business trip in four weeks' time, a trip that would take him away for two weeks. Mailee's heart sank at the news, fear gnawing at her insides. She remembered her last delivery, the pain, the fear, and the thought of going through it without him terrified her.

"Must you go?" Mailee asked, her voice tinged with worry as she placed her hands protectively over her belly. "Twins usually come earlier. I want you to be here when I deliver your princesses."

Sebastian smiled, though his expression was slightly strained. He moved closer to her, his hand covering hers on her belly. "Don't be silly," he said softly. "Of course, I want to see you bring them into the world. But remember, the doctor said you're in good shape. Our princesses are already a surprising two kilograms each. You're strong, Mailee. Don't think too much."

But Mailee's fear was not so easily soothed. She looked up at him, her eyes wide and filled with worry. "Sebastian, I'm worried about the babies," she whispered.

He hushed her gently, kissing her forehead. "These are her babies too," he reminded her, his voice firm.

"But... but..." Mailee stammered, but Sebastian silenced her with a kiss, his hand sliding down to caress her swollen belly once more.

"I can't get enough of you," he murmured, his voice thick with desire. "What will I do when I leave for two weeks at the end of the month?"

Mailee's breath hitched as he kissed her again, his hands exploring her body with a familiar hunger. He coaxed her onto the bed, his touch igniting a fire within her despite her fears. As he entered her, his movements were slow and deliberate, each thrust deep and measured. The sensation of his body against hers, the weight of their unborn children between them, was overwhelming. Mailee's walls tightened around him, the memory of her last labour resurfacing as fear and pleasure mingled into something raw and intense.

They climaxed together, their bodies shaking with the force of their release. As they lay together, panting and spent, Mailee couldn't shake the feeling of dread that clung to her like a shadow.

The day before his trip, they all went to the doctor for one final check-up. The doctor, at Victoria's request, began injecting Mailee with a medication to help the babies remain strong. As the needle pierced her skin, a chill ran down Mailee's spine. She watched Victoria out of the corner of her eye, the woman's expression carefully neutral but her eyes glinting with something Mailee couldn't quite place.

"Don't worry," the doctor said as he checked Mailee's cervix, his tone reassuring. "Your cervix is high, strong, and shows no signs of possible labour. Even if you were to go into labour now, the girls would be fine. They're already 34 weeks along, the same as their brother. They're strong."

But the doctor's words, meant to be comforting, only sent a pang of fear through Mailee's heart. She knew Victoria wouldn't let her off easily. The feeling of dread deepened, and as Sebastian kissed her goodbye, promising to return soon, Mailee couldn't help but wonder what plans Victoria had in store for her.

Sebastian left the following morning, and as the door closed behind him, Mailee felt a cold wave of fear wash over her. She was alone with Victoria now, and Victoria's game was about to begin.
