Donald explained the situation to Marleena about what happened to the office there and that someone had thrown a soda bottle bomb through the front plated glass of Marcus's office and it spread pretty quickly catching the floor as well as the blinds first at the door making smoke that was sent to the back part where the office's were at and that Marcus was found in the conference room with a burnt portion of his arm and Kelby was found in a bathroom with water running at full blast. Marleena just listened to Donald talk about what he and Kelby did when they were little. Looking up they saw the Doctor come in and ask for her family.
Donald stood up and seeing that Ethan had just walked in behind the doctor who had done the surgery.
Ethan questioningly asked "Who are you looking for?"
Dr. Mavin Derk looking at Ethan "Are the husband of Kelby Neiah Callsburg-Dakster?"
"Yes I am. How is she doing?"
"She and the baby are doing just fine. We did a cesarean section to deliver baby early, the baby is only two months premature and requires the neonate intensive care. Are you sure you can handle it? As for your wife she is in recovery and will be taken to her room in thirty minutes. You can visit then"
Dr. Derk had said with a smile on her face.
Ethan let out a breathe that he did not realize he was holding in nodding his head "Okay, thank you" is all he could say. Thinking he had lost her again like last time when a building collapsed causing a fire to start in the basement. Wondering how many time have they gone through something together and then separately by themselves only to survive each experience together. This is the second time that this has happened to Kelby and she was by herself again without him present for the cesarean delivery.
Donald filled him in on what had happened and how it had started. Ethan looking very cold and distant, "Don't worry I will have my team come in and investigate the truth behind this and the prosecution will not rest until the perpetrator is so far behind bars. He will know that God is on the side of truth."
To stunned to even ask what that meant Mike and Donald shared a glance at each other wondering what kind of power did Ethan hold in The business world.
Marleena went to Kelby's room to visit while the menfolk were outside visiting, seeing that she had a pink flower beside her bed "Did you have your little girl?"
Kelby smiling slightly due to the pain from the cesarean "Yes and she is in the neonate ICU for the next month or so until they say she can go home. She weighed four pounds six ounces. I'm sure she'll pick up to at least six pounds in the next two week, then she can go home."
Marleena turned as the door opened and saw a woman dressed in a pair of gray pin stripped pant suit with a matching jacket wearing a pastel peach colored blouse reaching Kelby's bed asking "Are you okay."
"Yes Julia, I'm fine. Oh, this is Marleena Sharm of the Sharm Conglomerate Corporation, this is my mother-in-law Julia Callsburg-Dakster. I am proud to say that she taught me how to run a company from the business side of it and she learned it from her family as well." Kelby said introducing the two women.
Julia looking at Marleena smiling "Nice to meet you. What kind of business are you in?"
"It is one of trade that my grandfather had when he inherited from his family. It is wonderful to meet you, Mrs. Callsburg-Dakster" Marleena said with awe in her voice.
Ethan walked into the room and saw Kelby laying on the bed with his mom sitting next to her, while looking around seeing a pink carnation flower next to her bed started grinning from ear to ear as if he had eaten the canary "We have a girl?" seeing Kelby nod her head "Do you want to go see her? I'll help you up."
When Kelby moved to the edge of the bed, she started coughing, and grabbed her chest as if her heart was hurting. Ethan called the nurse back to her bedside and asked if she was stable enough to go to the neonate ICU to see the baby. The nurse helped Kelby to sit for a while before moving to the wheelchair to be transported to the NICU to see her baby girl.
Upon arrival to the NICU she and Ethan saw the tubes that was feeding the baby and giving her hydration and helping her to breathe, when a nurse asked if they wanted to touch the baby and talk to her as well as asking for her name to be put on the birth certificate they agreed on calling her Naomi Roxanne Dakster just eliminating the Neiah and Callsburg altogether to keep her name simple.
Kelby reaching with the gloved hand touching Naomi watching her turn her head in the direction of her voice as she talked softly to telling her how she had made a grand entrance here in Ohio and that her big brothers were Oklahoma boys who would protect her dearly. Ethan watched as she responded to Kelby's touch and a tear slide from his eye down his cheek as there was more threatening to spill over from his guilt of not being here when she was born as he had missed all of his children's birth's due to work or some accident that occurred on the way to the hospital where they were born.
Marleena had called Maggie to let her know that she would stop by to see if she needed any help with moving and setting up for her baby room. Maggie "I would love to have help with the two guest rooms as well as the baby room. I would like to set up an office and study area so I can work at home with the baby when she is born,"
"Oh wait a minute I have an idea that would be helpful for you to return to the office if you like." Marleena said. Looking at Julia for answers to her questions. "I'll tell you when I see you"
Maggie hung up her phone and was wondering if she should change her number as she had kept getting annoying phone call from Trecye. She decided to tell Marleena about the change of phone number when she arrived.
Marleena spoke in a quiet voice "Mrs. Callsburg-Dakster, how did you handle having children while working in your office?"
Julia looking quite surprised by this question willingly answered "You can call me Julia, and I grew up in my dad's office where he and my mom worked. It was a corner that held toys when we were little and as we grew it held books and a pallet for us to lay down and read on. As we got older dad gave a small room for us to do our homework in and called it the kids conference room. We finally all went to college and got a degree in what we wanted to do in our life, and I have kept it that way since. Does that help with your decision for something like that?"
"It helps tremendously. My sister is expecting and I would love for her to keep the baby near her while she worked. Thank you so much, I will take my leave now" Marleena turned to exit the door when Donald bumped into Marleena causing her to stumble with him catching hold of her upper body to prevent her from falling.
