Third-Person P.O.V.
Saturday || 7:53pm
The rest of the day was spent relaxing, chatting, and getting to know each other better. But even as they all hung out, Z couldn't stop thinking about the unexpected connection she had with Max and how the weekend had taken an interesting turn.
After they eat dinner, everyone gathered in the living room.
Lux, noticing the subtle glances between Max and Z, decided to keep things light. "Maybe you can give us some tips on how to impress the crowd, Z. We need to make sure we blow everyone away."
Z smiled, feeling more at ease now. "I'm sure you'll do great, just enjoy the event and as long as you love what you do, it'll turn out great. I'm here and I'd be happy to help."
Wes, na bunot na naman si Kai, leaned back and said, "Well, if you're giving out tips, Gusto raw malaman ni Kai kung paano hindi matapilok sa wires on stage. That's been her biggest challenge, 'diba Kai?"
The room erupted in laughter, the tension easing as everyone continued to chat and enjoy each other's company.
As the evening went on, Max couldn't help but feel grateful for how naturally Z fit in with her friends. She caught herself watching Z more than she meant to, admiring how she seemed to connect with everyone, despite the initial surprise of discovering she was Sage's friend.
After a while, Lucky stood up, stretching her arms. "Okay, I think it's time to give Z a tour of the place, especially since this is her first time here."
Max's bandmates exchanged knowing looks, sensing something in the air. Wes piped up, "Yeah, Z, you should see Max's music room. It's where all the magic happens."
"Woow, Ako lang ba talaga yung hindi pa nakaka punta dito?" Z asked.
"Oums, lagi ka kasi busy linisin yung kalat ng bf mo and you're too focused sa programs and sa studies mo." Lux said nonchalantly.
Z, still a little overwhelmed by everything, smiled. Max looked at their friends giving her an approving nod. Max stood up as well, offering a hand to Z. "Come on, I'll show you around."
As Max led Z down the hallway, leaving their friends to their own conversations, she felt her heart race a little. She couldn't deny the connection she felt with Z, and showing her around her personal space felt like a step towards something deeper.
As they reached the music room, Max opened the door, revealing a space filled with instruments, recording equipment, posters.
"This is where we practice, where we try new song covers."Max leaned against the doorframe, watching Z take it all in. "It's my escape. But, uh, I'm glad you're here. It feels different having you see this."
Z looked around, clearly impressed. "This is amazing, Ave. You're really dedicated to your music."
"Quise, come here. I'll show you something, but I want you to keep it secret, okay?" Z nodded. Kinakabahan ito sa maaaring gawin ni Max.
Max removed one of the displayed electric guitar on the wall. She then opened a tiny space that revealed a red button. Max pushed it. Z was surprised.
The dim lighting gave way to a warm, inviting glow, with plush bed arranged facing a large screen. Cozy blankets were draped over the seats, and soft pillows added to the room's intimate atmosphere. The walls were adorned with vintage movie posters and framed photos from her childhood and other memories, creating a blend of personal history and cinematic magic.
