Previously on Chapter 1
This is the second time someone offered me this. I'm not sure whether I should accept her offer or not. I don't wanna be a burden, but at the same time... I don't want to be alone. So what should I do?
-Trouble-
Y/N P.O.V
"Y/N?" She called out to me, snapping me out of my daze. I blink my eyes a few times before turning to look at her. "If you're worried about burdening me, then you don't have to worry because you won't be. I want to be your safe place. It's the least I can do after you helped me out today" she said. My eyes soften at her words. She really tries to persuade me, so I'd agree to live with her. Even though she said it's okay, I still feel bad if I have to make her look after me.
"I need time to think... I can't leave that house because it's filled with so many memories" I said. She nods her head, understandingly. I smile softly at her. "Thank you for the offer, ma'am..." I said.
"Yuri... call me Yuri..." she said. I nod my head and call her as she wishes to be called. She smiles brightly at me. She places her hand on my head, gently ruffling my hair. My eyes soften at her action. It's something my parents and grandma used to do when they were still alive.
I turn my head to look outside to see the sun is setting. "It's getting late. I should probably head home. Thank you for the meal, Yuri-San..." I said. She nods her head at what I said. I slowly move to stand up. "See you next time" I said.
"See you, dear. Take care, okay?" She said. I send her a small smile. I turn around and make my way out of her shop. I turn my head to look at the sky which has turn slightly orange. I close my eyes as I let out a sigh. I turn my body around, and start making my way towards the direction of my house.
"There, that's the one who took me down!" A voice said. I stop walking and turn around. Standing not far from me is the same man I had taken down for trying to steal Yuri-San's purse. Behind him stood a few people. I'm guessing they're his gang.
"Her? You were defeated by a girl?!" A man exclaimed, turning his attention towards the man. I just watch with a bored face as he visibly flinched. Judging by his aura and demeanor, I'm guessing he's the leader.
"Well well... I didn't expect to see you bringing them with you. You're such a mama boy" I said, smirking at him. The leader looks annoyed by the comment I had made.
"Okay, no one is allowed to insult us. Don't you expect you'd get away with that easily" he said. He lunges at me. I jump up and place my hand on his head as I flip over him. I land swiftly on the ground and kick him with my left foot which collides against his back. He stumbles forward before colliding against a sign pole. I let out a laugh at him.
"Why you!!" A voice yelled. I swiftly moves out of the way as he attempts to strike me from behind. He can't stop in time because he didn't control his speed when he first moved. He ended up colliding with the first man, sending the two of them sprawling on the ground.
"Pfftf!" I snorted at the sight of the two of them on the ground. I hear rapid footsteps behind me and let out a sigh. I turn around. I lift my hand, rapidly hitting them right on their pressure point. They drop on the ground unable to move.
I notice them trying to move and let out a sigh. "Don't bother. I locked your muscles. So you wouldn't be able to move for a while. Don't worry though. It's not like I made you paralyzed for good" I said. I notice all of them are glaring at me. I scoffed at the look they're giving me. "Oh, just be grateful that I didn't make you paralyzed for good. 'Cuz I sure as hell am perfectly capable of doing that!" I spat angrily, while glaring at them with more intensity. The glare on their eyes wavers, and replaced by a look of fear as they stare at me. I roll my eyes and turn around, walking away.
"Hey you..." someone said. I close my eyes as I let out a sigh, thinking there'd be more trouble. I turn around to see a guy a little shorter than me. "I like you. Won't you come and join our group?" He said. I raise an eyebrow at what he just said. Join them? To what... are they some kind of gang?
"We could really use someone like you. A girl... but very fierce" another one said. I just stare at him, not saying a word. "Ah, where are my manners. I'm Togame Jo... it's nice to meet you" he said.
"Sorry, but I'm not really interested in being a part of a group. Much less, a gang" I said. I turn my body to face them completely. "I only fight when I needed to. Which is only for self-defense. Nothing more... nothing less. So if you'll excuse me, I'd like to head home before the sky gets any darker" I said. I turn around to walk away, only for someone to block my path. I huffed in annoyance.
"Why? Are you scared of the dark?" The man blocking my way said. I just stare at him. I'm starting to get irked by them. "I'm Tomiyama Choji, by the way. What's your name?" He said, cheerfully.
"Will you leave me alone if I tell you my name?" I said. He just grins at what I said. I close my eyes and let out a sigh. "L/N... L/N Y/N. There, happy?? Now move out of the way please" I said. I try to move past him only for him to block my path again. I groan in annoyance due to his action. "What now?? You asked for my name. I have told you... now leave me alone!" I said.
"Please join us!" He said. I huffed at his words. Why is he so persistent on getting me to join them? Can't he see that I'm not interested. Oh goodness... what did I get myself into?
