I look down at the piece of paper in my hand. It has the name of a cafe she was suppose to be at. Apparently, she's the one running the cafe on her own. But well, in this town is where my new life begins.

I finally found the cafe. It seems to be called Pothos Cafe. I gently push the door open. There's a girl standing right behind the cafe. She seems to be preparing something. I just stay silent, not knowing how to call out to her. She eventually notices me and turns her head to look at me.
"Ah, welcome to Pothos! Have a seat and I'll take your orders" she said. I blink my eyes at what she said. She must be thinking that I'm a costumer.
"A-Ah... I um. Not here to eat" I said. She stares at me with confusion. I rub my neck sheepishly. "Well, I don't know if you're aware yet. But I'm L/N Y/N. I'm from the neighboring town. I decided to move to this area..." I said.
"Ah! Y/N-Chan! Yuri-San did reached out to me to let me know about your arrival. Welcome~" she said. I feel my cheeks growing warmer by her sudden enthusiasm. She seems very welcoming with my sudden arrival. "I have to take care of the shop though. I'll help you out after closing time, okay?" She said.
"Um... okay" I said, nodding my head. She makes her way towards me. She places her hands on my shoulders from behind and gently pushes me towards a seat. "Er... where will I be staying at though?" I asked, after sitting down. She turns her head to look at me and smiles brightly.
"You'll be staying with me!" She said. I stare at her in surprise. She smiles and pats my back. She walks back to the counter and starts preparing.
"Staying... with you? At your house?" I said. She turn to look at me and nods her head. "But, won't I be a bother to you?" I asked. She turns to look at me with a stern look on her face. I flinched at the look she's giving me. "E-Eh. Did I... say something wrong?" I said, nervously.
"Obviously. You're not going to be a burden. I'd love to have you as a roommate. Yuri-San talks so highly about you!" She said. I just smile sheepishly at what she said. I wonder what Yuri-San is saying about me. But knowing her, it's probably the parts where I had helped her get ahold of her purse after being stolen.
"If you say so..." I said, making her smile in satisfaction. I let out a sigh of relief once she turned her focus away from me. 'Damn... she's a little scary when she gets annoyed. It would be best to not to get on her bad side' I thought to myself.
Even though I'm probably stronger and know how to fight. I'd rather stay out of trouble as much as possible. After all, I moved to this part of the town to start a new life.
I turn my head to look at Kotoha to see her struggling. "Do you need help with that?" I asked. She turned her head to look at me and shakes her head. "Please let me help. You're going to let me stay with you. It's the least I could do as a sign of gratitude" I said.
"Alright then... if you want to. Come and I'll teach you how to cook Omurice" she said. I smile happily and get up from my seat. I stand next to her as she starts to show me how to cook the food.
The door makes a chiming sound. I turn my head to see a group of people entering. "Ko... to... ha!!" A man with white hair exclaim. He rushes towards the counter and stare at Kotoha. I just stare at him, not knowing what to do or how to react. He turn his head and finally takes notice of me. "Oh, who's this? Never seen you around" he said.
"Oh, this is L/N Y/N. She just came here and offered to give me a hand while she's here" Kotoha said, placing a hand on my shoulder. I just smile at what she said. "Oh, speaking of which. Can you maybe go and buy some groceries for this cafe?" She said.
"Oh, sure..." I said, taking off the apron I was wearing when I started to help her cook. "What should I get?" I asked, after washing my hands and drying them.
"Here's the money and here's the things you need to get" she said. I gently grab them from her hands. "Also, Sakura. Can you maybe keep her company? She's new to this town, so she'd need someone to guide her around the area" she said.
"W-Wha-?? Why me?!" The guy with dual hair colors said. He seems to also have heterochromia eyes. Kotoha sends him a look, which makes him sigh. "Alright, fine" he said. He stands up from his spot. He turn his head to look at me. I blink my eyes and quickly turn around. I make my way out of the cafe with him walking close by.
A While Later
"Thank you for helping me out, by the way" I said, as we hold the plastic bags filled with the items for the cafe. I hear a squeak and turn my head to see Sakura with a beet red face. I shake my head and turn my head away. Seems like he's the type of person who gets flustered quite easily.
"Oh, I uhh... have to get something real quick. Just wait here, okay? Don't go anywhere. I won't take too long" he said. I hum softly and nod my head. He turns around, walking away. I just lean my back against the wall as I wait for him to come back.
"Hey, cutie..." a voice said. I turn my head to see a guy, he's also with a few others. I just stare at him with a bored face. "Awe... quite cold for a beauty. Come on, smile a little" he said, almost cooing.
"Leave me alone" I said, coldly. In which he seems to get more intrigued. I feel my left eyebrow twitch as I start to feel irritated.
"Oh, come on... don't be like that. Let's hang out and I'll be sure to give you a good time~" he said. I let out a sigh at what he said. I lower my body down, gently placing the bags of goods on the ground because I don't wanna accidentally ruin them. To think I'd be able to start a new and peaceful life without fighting. How naive of me.
