Chapter 15

Guess who got sick within the first week of school and got time to write this chapter ( You will need tissues for the end btw)😍

I knew today was the day the moment I saw Percy walking into the camp and everyone gathering around the entrance to applause for him. Thank him for saving the world and putting a stop to the war. I was standing next to Luke a few meters behind the crowd, and he turned to me with a tiny smile on his face 

"Don't you worry, little Fleur" He said, looking at me with a look that tried to ensure me that everything was indeed going to be alright. " He is going to accept our offer, I know it" He said, turning to me, blocking the view I had from the crowd in front of me. He took my hands in his before kissing them " Then we will be out of here just as we have planned" No, what we had planned but what Kronos had planned for us. I smiled at Luke, ensuring him that I was alright before he walked to congratulate Percy. I turned around, hiding my face in my palms, trying to hide the tears that were rolling down my cheeks. I was having second thoughts and I was feeling guilty about it. But if I wanted to be with Luke, the only person who actually cared for what I wanted and more importantly for me then I would have to do just as my granddad was saying. Recruit Percy and go join his army

Luke called my name and I quickly wiped my tears before joining the trio towards the Hermes cabin which was surprisingly empty so we could have the chance to talk privately " Clarisse, stole the master bolt" Percy said, and I felt a comb in my stomach before trying to hide my nervous face

" It is complicated" Annabeth admitted and Percy looked at her confused " Why is it complicated?" He asked and Luke checked that no one was listening before speaking " Everyone was ready to join the war here. To start fighting each other. An accusation against Clarisse-"            " Without proof could make horrible things happen" I added and Luke looked my way before nodding "Exactly, without proof it would have lit this whole place on fire" He said before finally turning to look at Percy again " But now you are back. You stopped the war. You saved the world. Now it is safe to tell Chiron and finish cleaning up this mess. I told him we needed to meet him away from the celebration, so we could talk without any of Clarisse's supporters noticing" He said and Annabeth nodded agreeing with the fake plan

" I will keep an eye on Clarisse while you are gone. Make sure she isn't going anywhere. Hyacinth, would you like to join me?" She asked, and my eyes widened while looking at her before nodding negatively " I don't feel well today so I would go to bed early" I felt so bad lying to her but tried to ignore her suspicious look while I was picking up my bag from the floor. I gave Luke a side hug while he kissed my head and excused myself from the cabin

I was hiding behind a tree a few meters away from the place where Luke was supposed to bring Percy, keeping any unwanted company away from there. I heard footsteps from behind me and when I realized it was them I hid better behind the tree trying to not be seen

" You don't seem sick to me" I heard a voice say, and the Annabeth appeared in front of me after she removed her hat. " Aren't you supposed to watch Clarisse?" I asked standing up, and she narrowed her eyes at me while trying to read my mind " You were crying, why?" She asked, looking at my puffy eyes as she walked closer to me and I took a step behind " You need to leave from here Annabeth please" I said with my voice cracking at my words, and she looked more suspicious " I don't want to hurt you, you are like a sister to me" I said, and her eyes widened at my words 

"Hurt me? Was it Kronos's order?" She asked, and it was time for my eyes to widen "You don't understand, I had a reason to join him" I said with tears rolling down my cheeks while she was slowly walking towards me, knowing that even if I wanted I couldn't hurt her "I had to do it for Luke because he is the only one I have that actually loves me" I said, and she stopped looking at me surprised " I just wanted to be loved" I admitted wiping the tears from my eyes and carefully grabbing my bow before pointing at her. Annabeth took a step back with tears filling her own eyes, not even believing that it crossed my mind to hurt her, the moment I pointed my bow at her
