The Luna Queen Is Back

Chapter 4

IRIS POV

I cat walked into my room and sat at the dressing table. Taking a good look at myself in the mirror, I couldn't help but gosh all over myself. "The next Luna to Silverstone pack, his royal majesty ...me ! Oh what sheer luck or should I say right. Why would he even want to take a pick, I am perfect, he really doesn't have to choose between me and..arrhg Enisa.

The thought of it irks me, l haven't started with her yet, when I'm done with her she will know her place in this pack house. Ugh pathetic fool she thinks she can become the next Luna queen... not when I'm still alive.

She is a threat I will make sure I break her little ego piece by piece until I am satisfied. I wonder what father was waiting for before he throws her out of the pack house for good! I can't wait to see the look on her face when that happens. I can't stand her, that wolf less omega, she doesn't deserve to be a Luna.

"Oh Starlie! I said calling my spirit wolf and she growled in an innocuous manner. "Won't you like to know who our new mate is going to be " I said beating around the bush. She was quite sensitive but hostile
.... like me. " Who is the lucky fellow" she asked curiously and I grinned. "Come on now, take a guess", I said and she growled in contempt. "Why do you always have to make things so difficult, okay lets see , is it Alpha Derek of stone hill pack ? She asked and I shook my head signifying no.

" Then it has to be Prince walker of Redwood pack" she said but I shook my head again and the contenance of her face changed , I knew I was getting on her nerves. "Then who is it ? She asked." It's Prince Zaden , he his going to be our mate! I screamed in excitement. I couldn't hear her rejoice with me so I paused and looked at her.

" That's not true, he hasn't made his choice, how sure are you that he is going to pick you"she said and the countenance of my face changed. It was now written with total disdain. "Hmph you think Prince Zaden will choose that little dump over me ......never! " Even if he does choose her over me I will always have my way." I said now walking away from my dressing mirror and sitting on my bed with my legs crossed.

" I don't think you understand the severity of this opportunity that luck as thrown at us Starlie, if Prince Zaden was to ever choose Enisa over me.......I will loose my mind. Do you know how long I have yearned for such an amazing opportunity as this one. To steal a glance at him this days is very rare, I cannot loose this opportunity, and I will not let a good for nothing omega servant snatch it away from me either " I said clenching my fist .

"But.... "But nothing Starlie", I said intruding her, just then the door clicked open and the one person I detested the most showed her face. "Agh...you good for nothing, don't you know how to knock before entering." I said taking a hold of one of the jewelry box on my dressing table and throwing it at her, but I missed or should I say...she dodged it.

"I....I am sorry, I thought you were asleep." She said stuttering and I gritted my teeth in anger. "Of course you did" I said in a mocking tone turning and walking to my bed where I sat down and crossed my legs. She was holding some cleaning equipment, it was obvious that she had come to clean my room. But that never used to be her job, what changed, she shines in the kitchen.

She didn't say a word and it got me thinking, what was on her mind. I don't like seeing her face, I remember vividly when she used to get all the love and attention. It took me a alot to finally have father on my side, but that only happened when her mother died, her presence in the pack house made it so difficult.

Enisa being around father is a threat, I don't want her around him. I knew she was capable of gaining his love back but I won't let that happen. For this to be avoided I have to make life miserable for her, if father won't let her go, then she will has to leave by herself, she can't be Luna queen, I don't care how but...she has to leave!

I watched keenly as she minded her business cleaning my room. I stood up from my bed and made for the dressing table. I took one of the perfume from the table, I made to spray it but then it faltered.....or should I say I made it falter. I watched as the bottle smashed as it made contact with the floor. "Oops," I said looking at the broken pieces of the perfume bottle, and I traced my gaze to Enisa.

Devastation ! anger ! hatred!, So many mixed emotions was written on her face. She opened her mouth to say something but then closed it and shut her eyes tightly, breathed heavily, and then flattered her eyes opened again. The whole room suddenly became overwhelmed by the powerful scent of the perfume.

The corner of my lips broke into a sly smile as I watched her bend over to pick up the pieces of the perfume bottle. Immediately a stealthy thought came into my mind, like a predator after it's prey, I raised my feet to press her hand on the floor against the broken pieces of the perfume bottle. I wanted to see her wince in pain, and if she raises any alarm. I will blame her for breaking the expensive perfume father had bought for me . Oh wow I am a genius.

As I made to bring one of my slightly raised leg down to press her hand down, I made sure she wasn't looking, I was wearing heels so this was going to hurt alot. I finally got a chance to strike, "This is what you get for all what you have made me go through Enisa" I said under my breath. Just then.... before my shoe could make any contact with her hand , I felt a hand wrap around my leg tightly and yank me away. I almost lost my balance and fell but instead, I staggered frenetically. I gained my stability and turned to meet the deadly gaze of Enisa staring deeply at me.

For a second, cold chills ran across my body, where did she get the nerve to look at me like that. Her gaze was so intense, as if she could see right through me. All of a sudden she started walking slowly towards me, her gaze not leaving me. "How could you stoop so low Iris! She said walking towards me with anger in her voice. Why is she coming towards me ? What will she do? I asked my self, but all of a sudden I snapped out of my fear. "You dare to challenge your future Luna! How dare you." I said, propelling forward I raised my hands to slap her, but she held it mid air. "Don't you dare" she said.

I couldn't believe my eyes, I can't be dreaming. I was too speechless to say a word. What happened to the timid Enisa I use to know, what changed? "Enough of your crafty tactics Iris " she said, pointing her index finger at me she yanked my arm away and continued." I am no longer going to tolerate any of your nonsense, you had better stay off my lane or else....."

Or else what! I wanted to scream out but my lips were sealed tightly, maybe it was because I knew I had pushed her to this. She didn't complete what she wanted to say, she just turned around and walked away silently, but then abruptly she stopped, still backing me...... "Everyone has their limits Iris, don't cross yours." She said finally walking away, I made to go after her, but she was gone.

"Hey who is going to clean up this mess? Just then something stung me, "Ouch !, looking at the broken pieces of bottle on the floor I traced it to my profusely bleeding feet, my shoe had fallen off when Enisa had yanked my leg away. Still in shock , not minding my injured foot, I slumped on my bed breathing heavily, my heart pounding against my chest.

"I see, the little bird has finally began to grow wings....well, it's not too late to break them !
