The Luna Queen Is Back

Chapter 12

ZADEN POV

        I was fuming with anger as I walked down to the garden to get some breathing space. Marriage was never on my to do list in the first place and not getting my fated mate only made matters worse. I couldn't come to terms on why Enisa would do such a thing, I was fooled right under my nose, how couldn't I have known Iris wasn't the one under that veil. "Ahgh" I moan as my fist smashed a wall leaving an imperceptible crack.

    At first I taught it was a joke but reality was all too glaring when I had realize I had just gotten married to my prospective mate's sister. I was quite baffled but didn't surface it, one thing I always shone at was never being intimidated by anything. But I felt betrayed when I had found out what Enisa had done, she had crossed her limit, but why do I feel there is more to this that meet the eyes.

         Under normal circumstances I would have gotten to the bottom of this, but I didn't feel like doing that this time, all of a sudden I wanted things to happen on their own without me having to intrude. Can you feel it Ryan? The blazing fury in my heart? I asked  my wolf Ryan who seemed to be more reticent than usual. "Your cordial disposition to this matter truly amazes me, I was expecting more than this from you" Ryan said growling.

             " I have learned to trust my instincts Ryan, they are never wrong." I said shape shifting into  my wolf form, the thick dark night was no match for my keen wolf sight. As swift as wind I raced into the forest, allowing my wolf spirit to take over me.

 
     I dodged obstacles and narrow traps as the light of the moon illuminated my path. I howled fearlessly as I ventured into the nebulous part of the forest, just then I came across a lake and decided to take a break. Shape shifting back into my human form, I sat by the lake taking in all that had happened recently.

           I was told I would never find my true mate, could that be what is happening? Apparently I wasn't destined to have a fated mate. Iris would have been perfect, a belligerent, sophisticated and likely stone hearted Luna. Just the perfect Luna I need to rule by my side when I become an Alpha. Enisa shouldn't have done this, I will make life unbearable for her until she leaves, this is the least she gets for toying with my emotions.

ENISA POV

       I could hear murmurings and I couldn't help but get up to check what was going on. I yawned tiredly as the ray of sun peeping through the window hit me. "It's morning already?
I said nonchalantly and then it just hit me." Oh my gosh it morning already! Oh no stepmother is going to be so mad at me, Iris would prick at my ears all day and father he......" I paused for a moment staring at my surroundings, the soft comfortable bed, the nice fragrance of the room, this isn't my room. Suddenly it just hit me that I was far from home, probably never returning, "Oh... I am married now" I said feeling empty inside.

          I was used to the heinous work routine back at home but now I am married to prince Zaden which makes me a princess....and a future Luna. "So what exactly do princesses do when they wake up in the morning? I asked myself and suddenly the door flung open. "Rise and shine princess.....oh you are awake." A lady in uniform said and immediately other ladies in the same uniform filed in with a tray of clothes and jewelries in their hands. I was marvelled at this, was this the kind of life Iris was used to?.....then I love it.

             Why are you all here? I asked just to be sure they are in the right place. "To get you ready for the day's activities " one of the maid said dropping the tray she was holding. "I see! I said feeling weird. "Wait...what time is it? I asked silently hoping it's not what I think. "It's a quarter to 8 my lady" another maid answered and immediately I sprang out of the bed.

      "What! Oh my gosh I have a training section with Prince Zaden this morning." I said racing to the bathroom to freshen up, immediately I got in I was confused, the bathroom had so many sections, I turned around and went back to where the maids where. "You need any help?, one of the maid asked  staring at me and I nodded in averred.

          " Make it snappy", I said already getting anxious. "As you wish my lady," the maid said leading the way. Frankly speaking it was the best bubble bath I have ever had. In a split second I was ready, I wore a leather jean and a  jacket, I can't train while wearing a gown I will look horrible.

         I came out of my room and started walking in any direction I thought was the right way, " this is all my fault why did I chase the maids away after they had helped me", I grumbled to myself. The mansion was so huge anyone can get lost in here, I spotted a guard patrolling to and fro in front of a door. That should be Alpha Tarus room, no one was allowed in there. I asked the guard for directions and he told me how to get there.

         It didn't take long for me to find my way there, it was more bigger than I imagined. I got into the room and a sultry wind hit me. The room was filled with all kinds of lethal weapons, all the rank of each knight swords were kept here. My eyes roamed around the room and inadvertently spotted something. It was a particular sword kept in a glass case, it was shimmering and caught my attention.

        I walked up to where it was and as if under a spell I slowly took it in my hands scrutinizing it. It ignited  something in me, I let my fingers trace the edge of the sword while holding it. It was decorated with sapphire stones and was silver. "What are you doing? A voice said jolting me back from the depth of my thoughts. It was Prince Zaden, I turned fervently to look at him, "this is a very beautiful sword" I said and swung the sword in a tactical way and it faltered from my hand heading in the direction of Prince Zaden chest.

     He caught the sword swiftly by the handle, it was like he saw it coming and knew when to make his move, how does he do that? The sword was just an inch away from his chest, I almost killed him!

         "Are you out of your mind Enisa? Are you trying to kill me? He said returning the sword back to the glass case and I felt like he took a part of me with it. I want that sword " I said with determination in my voice. "That sword is not a toy Enisa, only the most ranked noble swordmaster  are entitled to that sword." He said and his words ignited something in me.

        " How do I earn that sword?, I asked and he scoffed. "You can't, you will have to combat with the best warrior in Silverstone pack to earn that sword, and you may not come back alive." He said as if trying to install fear in me. He took a hold of two swords hung on the wall, they were beautiful but not as beautiful as the first one. He threw one of the sword to me and I caught it mid air.

         "There are rules to being the best sword master. To be a good sword master you must learn to trust your instincts, you must anticipate when your opponent will charge at you and try to counter it. " He said now lurching towards me with the sword in his hand. Fear crept into my heart but I shoved it aside and tightened my grip on the sword I was holding. "Enisa you can do this", I said taking in a heavy breath.

        I dodged the first strike of his sword and he flew over me an landed behind me. Turning swiftly I saw him coming in full force after me, I instinctively sidestep his moves, swinging my sword in an adroit way I swerved in an unpredictable manner and pinned my sword close to his neck. "Drop your sword" I commanded and he dropped the sword in surrender. "Well this was easy", I said retrieving my sword from his neck, turning and walking away just then I heard a swift jump.

     I turned and my eyes met the sharp edges of a sword pointing directly at my neck and immediately my sword faltered from my hand. "Rule number one, never leave your opponent unfinished", he said with a calm tone but I was too startled by the threatening manner of the sword and couldn't say a word.

       He slowly retrieved his sword and I felt mesmerized for a moment. I can't believe I was being trained by the best sword master in Silverstone pack. "You are quite good on your first try, not bad." I heard him say as he took both the sword and kept them back. Just then a guard ran in panting heavily and sweating profusely.

       "He...he is here", the guard said stuttering. "Who? Prince Zaden asked walking towards the guard. "General Alpha Kayak is here" the guard said refraining from spilling any more words and prince Zaden came to a halt. "What! He said and the countenance of his face changed, he was staring at the guard but his eyes seemed distant. He shot his eye in anguish and muttered.
