Love at first sight.

A cliché, a cheesy line, or a myth. Is there even such a thing as falling in love at first sight? What's so special about someone you see at first sight, what do you see in them to decide then and there that you will spend your entire life with that person?

There is a saying - Love at first is fiction until you have experienced it yourself. Well, yeah, it is a fiction. You see in movies, read books, and watch some people giving a statement that they knew the moment they saw that person that yes that person is the one who makes their heart flutter.

However, as we say we don't understand someone's pain unless we are in someone else's shoes. I think it's the same with the experiences also, either it's bad or good or just like falling in love at first sight. People say eyes are the window to your soul. Maybe the soul is the catch here. I mean there is no other explanation, you see.

You look through youreyes at someone and maybe just maybe, it's not you but your soul whorecognizes your soulmate, and that makes you attracted to them. I'm notsaying that every other person is your soulmate with whom you feel attracted atfirst sight but it's always that one special person your heart always knows when they come in sight.

Sarawat Guntithanon, who finished medical school and working as a surgical resident in the Divine Hospital. Everything was going well for him until he made a mistake in surgery and had to depart from the hospital. It was all stupid, he shouldn't have lost his focus while closing up a patient while in the surgery between the efficient surgeons. However, he did lose his focus when the surgeon asked him to close the patient after the surgery was done.

His personal problems were supposed to stay out of the ER. But he fucked up and got the ultimatum from the chief of surgeons with two options. Either he can resign and look for another job or he could just be fired and ruin his entire career. Well, Sarawat wasn't stupid enough to do that so he just bargained to work for the two weeks' notice and today was his last day in this hospital.

Talking about his personal problems. Well, one was stupid and one was not maybe. He just came to know that his mentor was diagnosed with glioma, a type of tumor that forms in glial cells in the brain and spinal cord. Sarawat couldn't cope with that, his mentor Dim was also the president of another prestigious hospital but Sarawat chose not to work under him so that he could prove himself, however, looking at the circumstances he had to go back to that same hospital where he didn't want to work.

Not that he has some grudge or anything but working under someone whom you are afraid will favor you or will be biased even if you fuck up didn't sit right with Sarawat. But the situation has changed. He has no other option but to join that same hospital, not because he can't get a job in any other hospital but also, because he wants to stay close to his mentor during his tough times. Also, he thinks Dim should be getting another test or second opinion so that they could be sure. Well, doctors are human as well, they can make mistakes, just like Sarawat did.

Sarawat was sitting outside of the hospital on the bench after finishing his last hectic day in Divine hospital. The last patient he got was also diagnosed with a brain tumor near his archaea, he was relieved that the chief of surgeons allowed him to be present in the surgery. Maybe he took pity on him or as his last goodbye or, he will never know why but he was glad he got to treat his patient and the surgery was successful on his last day.
